We started our journey from Delhi to Lansdowne Uttarakhand, which took us about 5 Hours to reach. And in all our way we have full of rain.
Lansdowne is a hill station in Uttarakhand. It was founded as a military garrison under the British Raj and the Garhwali Museum traces the history of the Garhwal Rifles regiment, which still trains in the town. Close to colonial-era St. Mary’s Church, Tip-n-Top viewpoint is perched up on a ridge overlooking forested hills. Hindu devotees worship Shiva at the centuries-old Kaleshwar Temple.
Elevation: 1,780 m
Area: 6.09 km²
District: Pauri Garhwal
Population: Around 10,000
Established: 1887
Named for: Lord Lansdowne
Lansdowne was a major place of the activities of freedom fighters from British Garhwal during British period. Nowadays, the famous Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army has its command office here. Lansdowne is one of the quietest hill stations of India and is popular since the British came to India.

Actually I took khatauli route while coming back. Khatoli ki roads new build hui hai which is good. Around 2 kms ka patch is bad. So for next 4-5 months khatauli route is good for consideration.

Airtel and Jio mobile networks is really good. Proper 4G network is available. You can easily connect laptop through your phone hotspot.

How are the pahadi roads? Can a first timer drive easily? Should one take a big or a small car?

Till kotdwar there is no hills, one can drive easly till there, but after that hills starts and roads become too narrow. I will not suggest first timer to drive on these roads, First try to drive on other hills station like shimla as roads are wider and one will get idea to drive on hills.

No, I don't recommend. Try Shimla like hill station first where roads are much wider compare to Lansdowne. And will give confidence to drive on hill area. In Lansdowne, roads are very narrow and due to this not recommended for first timer.

In lansdoewne there is no such service available, but in Kotdwar one can avail such option and drive it to ansdowne.

If you go with car then, Rs.4000 for petrol + tolls (both side). Stay Rs.2000 to Rs.6000 per day (depends where you stay) food expense alag se.
