Great video. I’m down in Victoria and want to have a go on fly off the beach around fairhaven to Lorne. I’ve got a 8wt so conditions will need to be favourable. But will see. Good to see the next video. And definitely a striping basket is a must.

Thanks Mike. Yeah definitely needs that sweet spot with wind/swell. It's a write off for the rest of this week here unfortunately, but hoping to hit it again next week. Hope you get a few down in VIC!

Yeah, nice video. Looks like a great spot. Mike, if you’re willing to put in a few more kms, the corner at Marango near the marine zone or the river mouth at Wild Dog Creek can be great for Salmon on the fly. On a full tide and offshore breeze, they come in close enough to hit them with an 8 weight or even a seven. I’d recommend forgetting the basket but taking some aniseed pellets to keep the school around.

@@hackaxl thank you for the info. Yes I’ve fished down there but not on the fly. And yes I have pellets in the pocket of the jacket just for this purpose but not the aniseed ones. Might invest in some.

Yeah fair call. Just forgot in a rush. I carry a Smith Creek line wrangler on my bag for this very purpose
