We don’t reach the Picos until the end of this tour…but you’re right, some great bendage into the Pyrenees 👍

Nice series of videos! I was on the same Bilbao ferry on 1st Sept, must have been the smoothest crossing of Biscay ever recorded!! We had a 2 day ride down to Javea, via Cuenca, & back a week later via Soria. Just planning 2024 trip down to Porto via Picos & back via Galica coast (or the other way round depending on the weather!!) Nice to see a few of the roads we'll be taking.

Yes, we saw a few dolphins after the fog cleared!! Also a couple of whales on the way back. I'll keep an eye out on next September's ferry for you all!

Great video. I’m just the other side of the Pyrenees at the most easterly part of your trip. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the vid and it’s good that you put the road numbers and place names on the screen. I wish everyone did that. Shame you can’t put a link to the GPX file for this route.

Love the Picos and Pyrenees, I am fortunate as I moved to south west France five years ago so no long ferry rides for me, looked like you were riding at a sedate pace and no fun for the guy on a sportsbike, especially on the off route part although these can be more fun! Surprised you ride with MPH still.

You’re in a great area to reach the Pyrenees for sure! Keep MPH on dash and KPH on GPS…it works for me. Thanks for commenting 👍

Hi Adam, thanks for watching. I upgraded to Zumo XT and had to use a different power lead. My texmount was an early 3d printed model and adhesive had started to come away with vibration…and it was just the excuse to get the Evotech. It does wobble a bit with GPS but as you will see, the Zumo XT remained in the mount when I dropped the bike…oops!

User error, I was looking at the views over the reservoir/lake and missed a right turn!

Your GPS mount looks pretty stable. What sort is it? I assume it goes up and down with the screen?

It’s the Evotech mount. It does wobble a bit but the Zumo stayed in it when I dropped bike at slow speed👍

@@shegocrazy The Tekmount is a very good option and I believe latest iterations are stronger than my first edition. On reflection, I’d probably have another, instead of the expensive Evotech option.

What do you use for navigation and how did you plot your route?

I plotted my route using the desktop MyRouteApp and loaded it onto my Garmin Zumo XT.
