As a nonMuslim I've just got to know there's a Muslim sports brand. As a malaysian I feel proud of malaysia for always being the pioneer for decades in producing and standardising many Islamic retaled products, platforms or institutions. From Islamic banks/studies, investment platforms, takaful, halal hub, halal foods, Quran to modern Islamic architectures (Petronas Twin Towers) and many more you name it. And now we have sports wear. Malaysia is not only unique being multi culture and multi religious but also set many great precedents in Islamic world. Very proud. ✊🏼🇲🇾

The last question by KJ was mind blowing, showing what a good anchor would do, listened to his story and ask him at the end. It was a powerful question too, showing how far Sonny had come n achieved his lifelong dream of why he started the sport in the first place! I really enjoyed every bit of it, at the same time learnt a lot n reminded of with hardship comes ease! InsyaAllah

Hello KS. I'd be interested in learning more from guests from the Muslim communities in the Philippines and other non-Muslim majority countries in Southeast Asia. As a non-Malaysian non-Muslim, thank you for your work and it was a great pleasure to hear this episode. It is clear that Sonny Bill Williams is an all around amazing human being and you can feel that all throughout the interview.

That would be interesting!! I think for the Philippines, I would like to know more about Robin Padilla as he is a Muslim revert and a former actor turns to into a politician. It would be interesting to know his background and how he came to know Islam. But he might be a bit controversial tho 😅. Perhaps KS can try to invite him?

Humbly speaking, I'd also suggest someone like the mayor of Marawi City, Mujal Gandamra, about how the city rebuilding process is going after 2017 and what it's like being in politics in the Bangsamoro region and interacting with the federal government. Same could apply to anyone else involved in local organization in the Moro community. Thanks once again.

I am happy for Sonny to find his way to Islam. Can't agree more on the part where he talked about setting visions and finding purposes in life. i am a Buddist but i share his joy being a muslim. In fact most religions are beautiful and peaceful, but the saddest part is that many self-righteous, hypocritical people have been using it as a tool for their own benefit - politically or financially. And these people are usually powerful and untouchable.

He had tattoo all over his body, and knew that it is haram in Islam. He wanted to join Friday prayers at an old mosque in Damansara, but wasn't given entry unless he wears a long sleeve shirt. He is now back in his home country, as an atheist. Innalillahi wainna ilaihi raajiun.

If we reflect on how our Asatizah in Malaysia like to go around in their ceramah, and being asked, "Ustaz/Ustazah, apakah hukumnya jika...". We need to start moving away from being heavily focused on this is halal and that is haram. While the questions are legit and contextually correct, it should not be the focus. Focusing on the don'ts which are absolutely meant for the good, will shy away our brothers and sisters from reverting to the truth in Islam.
@muhammadshalihinbakhtiar30249 ай бұрын
@@herleyabdulhamid1518 That ceramah for muslims bro, many of our brothers and sisteres continue to drift away from true teachings, continue to make sins, becoming more liberal etc, a little bit of laughter for our children and youth, you can see not only in Malaysia but in Thailand not only the crowd increasing but there's full of children, different races, different nationality also in the ceramah, but yeah it's only one person, focusing on local language, but we also have people like mufti menk that speak english dan talk about the same aspect also about hukum, answering questions and so on. but yeah the issue in above comment is about the masjid, there's still people in certain masjid got such rigid mindset, lazy and not responsible, they can give coat to him, or just let him in but yeah, it's not about hukum, if you ask asatizah then it's no problem for those tattoo as Allah is forgiving and compassion, there's lot of view among ulama and so on, it's about understanding and compassion, do they ask him why he had those tattoo, is he's a revert or not, that's important aspect on it, not focusing if we need to move away from something etc
@herleyabdulhamid15189 ай бұрын
@@muhammadshalihinbakhtiar3024 I agree and love your perspective Bro. The keyword in my comment is the word “focus” and not to any specific individual. Let’s broaden the focus on hukum which leads to many to be judgemental. We need more Asatizah to spread compassion and love as well.
