I thoroughly enjoyed this video, took to me back to my childhood when we stayed in our caravan. I used to watch for the windmill turning as I then knew we were nearly in millisle. My favourite memories were playing in the amusements and eating from the windmill chippy 🥰

Spent most of my childhood living here, you're so right, it used to be buzzing in summertime. Memories of Benny's Amusements with the fairground rides, the Windmill Grill chippy, Borza's ice cream parlour.. good times. The worst thing that happened to Millisle was that terribly misguided "beach park" which concreted over much of the beach with the rocks I played on for what seemed like hours gone forever. Such a shame the main street is so quiet and desolate nowadays.

Windmill is cool 😅. Great that it's been preserved and remains functioning. There is a windmill not far from me, the only working windmill on Anglesey. A number of others have been converted into homes or holiday let's.

Sadly the windmill has recently closed it just didn't generate enough visitors to afford to carry on. Had many great summer holidays there, thanks for watching.
