Thanks for following and good to hear from you. My solo sail was great and now I’m getting over my anchor anxiety with so much practice these days things are starting to come second nature. Season 2 in Greece has been amazing on many levels.

Hi there - there is a time lapse b-roll showing single handed departure and arrival at Dubrovnik marina. I hope to do a more detailed video relative to marina procedures

Mount the mdi off the engine.. less vibration, better longevity..

Thank you for your comment. I have read about doing that and the volvo mechanic also concurred it is a good solution. I would like to mount it to the engine room wall

Hello found you guys a little while ago and I am looking to do the same thing as you guys. I already bought a 43ft Beneteau in Grenada and sailed it to Hawaii last year and now I’m looking at buying an Elan impressions from Croatia. I am from Utah and live part time in Hawaii. I would love to chat and have a few questions how could I reach out?

i know this case and i suggest him send complain, but he lose because he pay vignette but he don't pay tourist tax. For all sailor .Vignette is an identification mark proving the registration of arrival, the fulfilment of requirements for navigation in the Republic of Croatia and the payment of fees for the safety of navigation, fee for the use of navigation safety facilities, information chart and administrative fees. The vignette validity period is from the date of issue until end of the year. The vignette is mandatory for the vessels whose length is 3 meters or longer, as well as vessel length of less than 3 meters with a total power and propulsion gear 5 kW or greater. Vignette is not mandatory for rowing boats, regardless of their length. Harbormaster's offices or branch offices shall issue the vignette based on the documentation that the commander of the vessel is required to enclose: you need List of crew and passengers Certificate of seaworthiness for the vessel Document certifying Certificate of insurance Certificate of ownership

Thanks Davor for your comment. We have also heard the same that Steve and Judy didn’t pay their tourist tax and that was the missing piece of paperwork that caused all this confusion. Apparently due to the bad press Croatia received from their KZbin video Croatia launched an investigation, discovered this and published a news article with these findings. Only those directly involved in this instance know the truth. I can only share our experience in Croatia from living there one year. We never found any corruption. In fact we found the people honest and the country so safe. We had all our paperwork in order when we checked out and had no issue.
