What a fabulous episode, love hearing about your adventures and explorations and I look forward to seeing many more. Danielle, in this video (14:00) you had a white shirt on, and it is the same shirt you brought back for me from one of your Turkey trips many, many moons ago. Love that shirt! Enjoy you two!

Thank you Cheryl for taking the time to watch our video and for leaving such a nice comment. So funny you noticed “our” shirt. I bought one for myself but never wore it all these years and came across it when we were cleaning out our house before our move with the tags still on! It’s the perfect travel top. I will think of you when I wear it!

What a wonderful video! It covered so many different subjects and has crossover appeal for boating, motor racing, local history, tourism, bee keeping, enthusiasts. Keep up this type of format and you definitely have a winning formula in documenting your adventures. Loved the editing and the choice of music too. So happy that you are now both living your dream. Onwards and upwards!

Nice video! Please continue like that. It is nice to see how you are realizing your dream. It is also very interesting that you started your journey in Croatia because my wife is from Zagreb and we really love to sail in Croatia. Specially the Islands in Dalmatia are really great. Korcula, Vis and Hvar are our favorite. If you have some questions just let us know we would be happy to give you some nice tips. We did 2 years ago our great loop. We started in Detroit and went to the Bahamas, were we stayed for 5 months. One day we will do the same Iike you guys and the Elan is one of our favorite boats. Remember life is better in flip flops. Best Regards from Kazakhstan Sanja. and Christian

Thank you for your note. We are actually in Korcula right now. We plan on sailing to the other side of the island today and then up to Hvar and other islands - if you have any suggestions we would welcome them. Your Bahama sail sounds great. Cheers!

@@SeaBeeSailing Hvar old Town is very nice to see (Palmizana is near to anchor) , Komiza on Vis you should not miss (if you like sweet and cake go to Cukar) and the Blue cave on Bisevo in the morning. If you want to hike a bit we recommend you the old monastery Blaca at the island Brac. You can anchor free of charge.

Awesome videos. Thanks so much for posting these up. We have about 20 months to go before we are following you guys. I do have a question, Where is Seabee flagged? And why there?
@SeaBeeSailing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and we are very excited for your upcoming departure! Sea Bee is an American flagged boat. It just happened that the previous owner was American like us so it made things very easy for us when we purchased her. Feel free to ask us any other questions. Cheers!

Depending on availability, sailing schools are the best avenue. Recommend looking for ASA or US Sailing credentials.

Sorry but this sounds foolish to sell your house to live on the boat full time. With millions of people fighting to get into a home along with rising housing prices and interest rates, it will be even more difficult to get back into a house once you get tired of this lifestyle. Most people quit this sailing lifestyle after a few years for many reasons. Just remember that every year your boat is depreciating in value while real estate continues to go up in value. For example, say your house is worth 1.2M and you sell it now. Years down the road when you get sick of this lifestyle and want to go back into a house again, an equivalent house that you want to live in may cost you $2.2M and with an even higher interest rate! On top of that, you now have to pay an even higher property tax just to live in the same kind of house that you lived in before. So unless you got $10M in the bank, this lifestyle is not practical.
