I could have sworn I saw a clear hint of blueshift when Elly was approaching the Absolute Limit of 80mph. A lovely series, Ian, very enjoyable and well presented. Have a well-deserved rest together with Elly, but do keep 'em coming!

Hello, I am German and I remember my 2CV 25 Years ago. I put out all seats except for the driver seat, to fit a mattress, for which I had to remove the driver seat at night. One night I slept at a beach near Venice with the roof open. Then it started raining and I closed the roof. Back in my cosy, world smallest RV I suddenly saw all the people, of whom I was not aware of, fleeing form the rain. It was a very romantic adventure. Say Hy to Elly and good luck to you. By the way mine drove 130 km/h. It was a 2CV6 Charleston in grey. Kristian

I think what makes the whole "road trip" fun and exciting is the ability to discover new interesting towns/cities along the way. But when most people are making the return trip they are just eager to get home at that point and it appears to be all highway travel with no exploration. Honestly I never get tired of watching Hubnut's travels but even I want to see him get home to Wales at this point. 😁

An Epic drive home. You made it look easy but to travel across Europe, back across the Channel and then drive a very long and monotonous route through England on our hectic motorways to the valleys of Wales is a trial of endurance. As you approached home on familiar roads in fresh air with no pollution in anticipation of a proper cup of Tea on arriving. Well done Ian

What a marvelous journey! Thanks for taking us along; I've seen many parts of the world which I likely won't see in person this lifetime. Must be a relief to get home; that's how my wife and I felt, after last October's 5600 mile journey, from Ohio to Seattle; maybe another time I'd do some videos of my own...the trip was more "out of necessity", and we didn't feel like hassling w/ airports. Do wish I'd had a video of my flight w/ my first flight instructor, in South Dakota, flying his wonderful 1948 Ercoupe! I noticed the "Aldi" sign as you set off; I didn't know they were international; we have them here in N. Ohio... Looking forward to more adventures!

Little tip for the flasher relay, go to a motorcycle shop, the more established ones will keep old school 12 volt flasher relays on the shelf in their parts departments. I had one fail on a 60's Renault 4 some years ago, the OE Renault one was a very strange looking affair, but a bike flasher substituted it successfully.
