Ep175 - Early Spring @ The Festival Carp Fishery

For this video ive travelled down to somerset and i'm doing a 4 day session by myself at the festival carp fishery near glastonbury.
It was a tough session with baking hot days but freezing cold nights which didnt make for the best conditions, but i managed to fluke a few out, so tune in and see i i approached this 4 day mega session.

Excellent video Chris, really enjoyed this, from area baiting to honing it down to more accurate baiting positions setting the trap, a very logical tactic with pellet. As you said wouldn't want to try that with boillies the lake bed would look like a golf driving range lol and without doubt the best carping excuse i have ever heard "Thermal Shock" brilliant LOL However with three fish out of the water no thermal excuse needed 😁👍well done Chris

@@MrCarpking71thanks very much i've been caught out before (not at this venue btw) My argument then was it runs freely on the line so is fish safe but the fishery said that it could aid in tethering and get dragged around by a fish. I quote "If in doubt a leader is anything that leads up to the lead" I said so you would prefer the mainline to rip the scales off the fish then?
