WHO WE ARE?
We are Char and Marv
@plantedinthegarden!
Our primary goal is to get as many people to grow their own food.
No matter the experience or space available.
We are urban
gardeners from Toronto that fell in
love with growing food because
not only is it amazing to eat fresh
homegrown food, but you also know
what you put into it and the joy you get when you share it with family, friends and the community.
Gardening never
stops for us; we are always looking
for solutions to continue to grow our
food - no matter what season. From
outdoor gardening, garage grow tent
to hydroponics, year-round gardening
is truly possible. We believe
in simple living, loving what you do,
and doing it with love!
Every year we start our garden, we learn something new and know that it's okay if it doesn't work out. There's always new growth to look forward to, so keep on learning.

It's so therapeutic and rewarding growing your own food. It's not just better for the body to eat food that doesn't have all of the cancer causing herbicides and pesticides but also better for overall well being.

each light outputs between 150-200W because I have a dimmable light. I run it at nights to save cost and it's about 12hours a day. The cost is between $6-10 per light. But I can grow up to 50 plants from a single light.

Hi. What temperature do you maintain inside your grow tent to optimize tomatoes & other fruiting plants? I’m debating buying an indoor setup: hydroponic tower vs a grow tent.

Hi. Great set up. I also have two smaller grow tents in my basement but only use for starting seeds. Maybe give this a try. You make the hydroponic system look doable. I have always been so intimidated by it. Are you using a nutrient solution or just the bubbler? Do you run the bubbler 24/7?

Could you explain what you need to build the tent and what you need further more. Lambs waterpumps etc. I love your crispy vegetables. Where do you live by the way?
@plantedinthegarden
@plantedinthegarden Жыл бұрын
Hi from Canada. I'm using the tent because my set up is in the garage. I've done this indoors too without the tent and just air pump, air stone, a small fan and grow lights. For the tent setup, I recommend getting an intake fan to remove stale air inside the tent and have open vents on the bottom of the tent for fresh air to come in. If you're a winter zone, you'll to run a small heater intermittently to keep the temperate just above 10°C/50°F. Shelves are an option depending on how big you want to set up. Feel free to checkout the amazon store on this link for material references linktr.ee/plantedinthegarden
