If you take few base leaves from the plants each time, you can eat lettuce all year without killing the whole plant 🪴

Very nice. Actually you do not have to wait for the head to develop or to cut it all off. When the plant is growing healthily, you just start to pick the lower leaves from each plant or whatever many you need, just leave enough at the top for the plant to grow on, this way you have salat leaves for maybe 10 weeks or more :-)
