Another great, informative episode! I’d say you both are more than generous tippers! On jackpots up to $2k, I tip $20 straight up. Jackpots over 2k, 1% of the jackpot amount, and more if the jackpot is sizeable. Thank you for addressing who gets the tip when there are two persons-I’ll definitely ask next time and split it if necessary. I stopped tipping housekeepers when COVID stopped daily room service. Until the Louisiana casinos begin daily room service again will I go back to tipping. And slipping a $20 bill to the front desk person never worked for us, so we don’t do that anymore. I give $1 per drink to beverage servers whether I order an alcoholic beverage or a bottle of water. Looking forward to more of these episodes!!! ❤

At our closest casino, we always bring Krispy Kreme donuts, Panera, and little food gifts and leave them at the front desk and casino hosts office. I always have a bunch of fives to tip restroom staff, the staff thar clean off the machines and remove the garbage. Also, the sweet older gentleman that delivers our bags to our room! We also give tips directly to the maids when we ask for extra towels, coffee , etc. Tip jars if service and kindness are present! I look for the hidden service people, and now you have given me more ideas! When the host asks if we want a meal at the fancy restaurant, we ask for the sports bar or less expensive restaurant. The food and service have always been better there! Thank you for this platform!

For me, gift cards for my hosts. 20% for food, whether buffet or restaurant more if the service warrants it. Beverages at the machine, a buck at least, sometimes more. Hand pays a flat percentage, based on winning amount. And don’t forget the rest room and those poor folks cleaning at and around the slots! They make very little, breathe smoke all day or night and you’ve seen the worst of what they have to clean up, thank them bless them and TIP them , generally they’re shocked by this and it hurts my heart. Great topic again Joseph!

My theory, and I've never hit a handpay, is casinos pay the people that touch cash pretty well. If i happen to win i would not tip them for bringing it to me. They ain't tipping me when i lose. And points are an advertisement to get me to spend more so rewards do not count.

All solid advice on tipping Josh and Joseph. Never heard of tipping airline attendants before. I imagine if they made me a mixed drink or something, but just handing me a can of soda? No. My tipping on handpays pretty much aligns with Josh's. I hit a $2300 one and I gave the guy like $30. For the buffet: I am usually comped at my local, so I tip about $10 a person. At the cafe, I eat for free, so generally 30% of the bill. Cocktail server: $1 - $3, depending if I know them. I only drink soda / water, so my orders aren't that complicated. For the ticket writers in the sports book, I usually tip a few bucks for every trip there but it amounts to somewhere around 1% of my total that I am betting. Also, I'll hand out a little extra to workers I know during the holiday season. I also will leave a few bucks each night for the people that clean and maintain my room.

Idk. I won a $10,500 jackpot last year and gave the young slot attendant a $200 tip. She didn’t even acknowledge it like it was nothing special. I usually tip $60 on $1200-$2500 handpay but I’m starting to think that is too much. Usually 2 people come out and I end up tipping both, but here lately the one will hand their tip money to the other one. Most of the time, a thoughtful gift is just fine! But, for a Vegas trip, we usually engage with our host more than usual and therefore we always tip
