That underwater shot of the squid persistently holding on to the bait is just amazing. First time I've seen something like it. More shots like that please!

Hi Thomas! Thanks for noting that. It is important for us indeed. They are so beautiful so caring for them like that is the way to go. We partly designed the side door for that purpose a couple of years ago. Whereas we used to pose with the fish on the boat (as many people do), we don’t even let it out of the water now. It was magnificent as we weren’t even targeting them in the first place! Haha! Hoping you had a few laughs here and there 😜

Oh wow!! Must be an awesome once to live! There’s a national park next to you, right? Ricky worked briefly in the Joondalup area many moons ago. We would love to go past Exmouth but there’s so much up here still unexplored. So much to do, so much to see! Exciting times! Haha! We have only been caravanning recently and we are constantly learning things along the way. If you have already seen Episode 18, it’s a conundrum of sorts travelling the way we do. Before the caravan, our slide-on was just perfect and we had that at the back of our truck whilst towing the boat. Now that we have experienced caravanning, I’m not sure how we did the slide-on in the first place! Hahaha. We love the bigger space with the caravan but also miss the convenience to stopping anywhere and everywhere. Let us know if you are travelling up north. We think we would be spending a lot of time between Darwin, our home and the Kimberley region. We hope we can continue to inspire you to mix it all up, fishing, exploring, enjoying Australia and laughing along the way. As you can see, it’s been a comedy show for us. We have so much to learn still. Camping on our boat and our beaches make caravanning such a luxury! It’s so humbling! Anything you can share, we are all ears. I’m sure we can also learn from you and your wife 😊. Thanks for reaching out, making connections is partly why we decided to share what we do. Let’s keep connected! I had so much fun watching this episode!! I was very awed witnessing squid lined up like that (and they're HUGE!). But what tickled me the most was when Margie squealed after getting inked by the squid LOL! I was laughing so hard! That squid got you very good, Margie! I can't help but think also that, had Ricky manually reeled some of the fish instead of using the electric reel, I imagine he would have been exhausted. That sailfish was enormous but such a magnificent creature nonetheless. PS... here I am imagining the squid grilling so nice right about now. Then snacking on it while drinking beer LOL (CHEERS!)

Hahhaah. Yes, I give you permission to laugh at my expense. Rocky certainly does it every time. He laughs at my misfortune!!! Did you notice he cared very little that I had squid ink all over my hair and he just kept casting for more squid? 😝 yes, he would have been very exhausted (usually) with fighting a sailfish and getting it up on board. We leave them in the water now 😊 They are beautiful and magnificent indeed. Ricky hasn’t grilled any of our squid before but he will do so now!! 😜 so glad you enjoyed that!! wow! you caught lot of squid!, why are they lined up like that? that shimano electric rod is great! no need to tire yourself from reeling fish and ricky catching a sailfish!! 😲😲😲

Rick you can get remote lithium batteries for them reels they just clip on under the reel
