Andy, coasting in B0 is right better than use B5 B4,....you are right :) First time I drove a lot of km with B5 to B3, change a lot of times with the paddles. Its funny but after I saw an older video from you … i changed my driving style. Only streets with long downhill i check with the paddles. Yes we love the car, and a lot of us stay tune on the PHEV :))))))))

I'll be watching, I enjoy your humour & banter 👍 Still working on the clues but they are a bit vague as yet lol 🤷‍♂️ My Outlander passed its MOT yesterday 👍😎 so ok for another year, with only minor things to change soon, 2 tyres getting near the limit on the front & rear brake pads getting low, probably the originals ? lol so im happy with that. What car for you next ? Going through whats available in Aus. Hyundai Ioniq is in the right price range Im thinking and you can buy it in Aus as a Hybrid (no) , Phev (maybe? ) or full electric ( good chance ?) Toyota Prius ? (no ) Camry ( only hybrid,so guessing no ) Corolla (guessing no as hybrid only again) Mitsubishi Outlander Phev ( well ?? I think you would like a change even though you love this car, & to get away from MM as they have wound you right up on occasions, which we found funny sometimes 😁 Tesla ( highly likely, you listen to Tesla chat all the time & its all electric, I think if the price was right you might go down this route ? ) So I dont know what else is available as yet, so Im going either Tesla or Hyundai ionic, I remember you was quite impressed with the one you had a test drive in as you was with the Tesla. Hi Andy love your work for us as always! ps My phone also corrupted whilst using the Dog getting hot, no screen, had to take out battery and full restart losing all contacts etc. I think my phone may not have enough speed & memory work space to handle the Dog program (old samsung J1). Also cant wait to see your new car choice it would have to be good to beat what we already have imho.

The Dog does not run on Android Pie correctly. I got it running on the new phone once but was unable to import any old data and I did not want to start from scratch without any history... hence the second phone with all data.

Another great Viedo, Andy. Hm, electric car with spark plug 🤔 . There are not many available at the moment. Presumably, a trailer hitch is needed again. This is already many models out again. My tip, Kia Niro PHEV. Or If it is also four-wheel drive again, so only the BMW 225xe remains. But you can not use the PHEV Watchdog on any other model. Do you want to drive 'blind' again in the future? 😉

Sehr hilfreiche Videos für PHEV Fahrer! Habe das 2020er Modell Top als Tageszulassung mit 50km auf dem Tacho März 2022 gekauft. Wieviele km Gesymtfahrleistung hatte dein neuer Fahrakku zum Zeitpunkt des Videos? Wurde das Degradationsproblem mit einem Software Update behoben? Hoffe das hat Mitsubishi jetzt behoben. Es ist toll im Alltag komplett ohne Tanken auszukommen. Die Langstrecke kommt nur selten vor, wird mit vollem Akku begonnen und dann im Verbrennerbetrieb absolviert ohne umständlichen Ladestop. Das ist ein guter Kompromiss für die Jahre des Infrastrukturausbaus.

I Just bought a outlander phev instyle + from 2016. I still have the warranty for 60k km's or untill 2024... I saw your video from the bmu reset, is it wise to do the reset now or wait untill i get to the warranty? The battery gives 33.1 ah now.. i get less km's within the time passes by i guess..

How do you have cruise control on and still are in full EV mode? On my 2018 as soon as I engage cruise control the engine starts, even if EV priority mode is enabled and ECO is pressed.

On my 2018 the ICE will not start when Iplace it in CC. What happen is if I am in B0 and place it in CC car changes D but Engine does not start

@@unpluggedEV on my vehicle (2018 Canadian model) it cancels EV mode as soon as you enable cruise control. It says it in the manual on page 5-63 which you can read here: mcarsstatic.cachefly.net/pdf/owners/support/technology/18%20PHEV%20Owners%20Manual.pdf

@@eloimis101 I guess Andy's Outlander is a pre-facelift model which did not have the "EV Priority Mode" option. So technically he is just driving in "Normal mode", so I guess that makes sense from that perspective. But the behaviour is different in post-facelift models with the EV priority button, which appear not to be able to use Cruise Control when it is pressed. And the engine starts if Cruise control is enabled. Which sucks!

@@unpluggedEV Das verstehe ich sehr gut. Alleine diese Videos kosten schon enorm viel Zeit. Dein Englisch mit leicht deutschem Akzent ist aber für Deutsche sehr sehr gut zu verstehen. Gut, dass du dir nicht den australischen Slang angewöhnt hast.😉 Bei Garry Reed habe manchmal Probleme seine Worte zu verstehen.

What is the new car Andy? I'm thinking about getting a 2018 4hs how much difference is the 2018 compared to the 2019?

The 2019 model had some updates including engine increase from 2.0L to 2.4L, higher power rear electric motor and larger main traction battery for a little more range. Some instrument display presentation also changed a little. So you may want to find a vehicle with the new specification or maybe get a good deal on the previous specification.

He's getting a Tesla Model 3. It's quite obvious since he is listening to a Tesla Podcast in the last two videos, and Tesla has just released the Model 3 recently in Australia, so they are probably readily available there. The problem is there are many many videos on KZbin regarding the Model 3 so Andy will have to keep us interested and entertained in future videos!

I still think you got a Model 3... I don't agree with the premise of having to change your driving style to suit the car. If, driving it like all the other cars, means the battery depletes that much faster then it wasn't fit for the intended purpose. I would only ever loose a couple of mpg when it was colder or I had to hit the gas harder. Still, you're out and I think I've picked my next car. Which won't be a PHEV...
