Both of them and their argument are stupid. Borobudur was originally without chattra. That is very clear. From the results of archaeological research it has been proven. all temples in Central Java that are contemporaneous with Borobudur are all without chattra. the majority of stupa reliefs in Borobudur are also without Chattra, and there is one stupa relief in the Bahdracharya panel section that is similar to the main stupa of Borobudur, and it is without chattra. Im indonesian and my house is only one hour from Borobudur. Im a Buddhist and a ngakpa also.

Dutch engineer Theodore van Erp once found stone fragments suspected of being chattra during the restoration of Borobudur Temple in 1907-1911. But he was probably wrong.

@wiwidity Van Erp realized that he was wrong, so he took down the engineered chattra that he had installed, after his assistant found that there was a stupa foundation to the east of Borobudur. The remaining stones that he found and then installed as chattra probably came from there.
