Yep almost saved it. Also think he was on the brakes after he lifted off so no chance of saving it. Just power down get the back end out then just power through and drag the back end back round.

I'm 48, was once young! Still am really! We had car meets and used to drive like nobs but no one ever got badly hurt or killed like they seem to do nowadays. Luckily it was railings the muppet hit and not 25 spectators.

Understeered coming around the the roundabout, followed by lift off oversteer , tried to correct that which ultimately resulted in him ending up in the barrier when it hooked up.

...........well spotted, for sure knew someone who'd "just had their car in the garage" and told me it didn't feel right, took a look and the garage had put the front wheels back on wrong(n/s put back on to o/s and o/s put back onto n/s). Took a while for me to explain to them the arrow showing rotation on the side wall, the "garage" they used was either trying to rip them off for a wheel alignment/or other work or were incompetent.

​@@B__L It does make a difference, happened myself and colleagues on a EMS driver training course. Car had been in workshops for brakes, mechanic somehow switched the front tyres round. It felt like it was about to wash out when cornering, even at moderate speeds.

So he pulled the handbrake to get the arse end out then had snap oversteer as the weight shifted due to lifting off and counter correcting too much. Clever! At least he didn’t wipe some innocent pedestrian out on a pavement. And then we wonder why insurance is sky high with gimps like that on the roads bumping it up.

Lift off oversteer........ what..? when a fwd car accelerates the front lifts...if you lift off the weight transfers back... which can unsettle the back end...... in like 1988 lift off over steer has nothing to do with when a car is understeering.. understeering and hitting the brakes causes weight transfer to the front..making the back end go light..... and spinney...spinney N x
