interesting that the SHF headpiece is based on Ahsoka but the Mafex and Black series are based on Mando S2

I am so torn between mafex and sh figuarts but the more I see the figuarts the more I want the figuarts.

Something I didnt notice with the promo pics is that the SHF has brown pants. It might be accurate, but it throws me off a lot. Mafex still has a lot of QC issues, but the overall look of their offering (especially as a fan of the TCW-esque blend), makes me gravitate towards them more

Not sure if you mess around with head swaps, but if you do, does the black series head look out of proportion on the Mafex or SHF? I have a custom painted Black Series Ahsoka head that looks great, and was wondering if it'll work on one of these two Ahsoka figures. I'm leaning more toward getting the Mafex Ahsoka because of the knee joints and soft goods wired cloak.

All 3 have similar body proportions and head sizes, so it should work. I did a quick digibash of TBS to Mafex. Head size is almost identical, face is slightly larger on TBS, while Mafex body is just slightly wider.

I know its a tough choice. I ordered the SHF version but I will probably order the Mafex version down the road to display her with her cloak. I plan to display the SHF version against Dark Side Anakin; so the awful cloak wont be used.

Similar feel, accessories, and price so really depends what you prioritize. For likeness and poseability, go Figuarts. For costume and saber details, less wonky knees, much better soft goods, go Mafex.

I have both! The SHF has a more real life likeness head-sculpt which to me is the main selling point of the SHF version. Mafex has a better details on its suit paint apps and a better cape also the light sabers look better on the Mafex but no swinging effect.. Shf has brownish pants.. and also the pegs and joints ong SHF feel a little bit more fragile but again both ate excellent overall

Is the mafex more weighted and does it feel better to hold or the figuarts? Just got my figuarts because it came with more but I feel like the mafex might be better to hold.

Figuarts weighs more at 7g, while Mafex is 6.4g. Better feel in what way? Both needed shock oil in the hips but are pretty smooth and sturdy after that. Mafex knees are smoother, hips and ankles more limited, and as far as having it in hand, I'd worry about losing the lightsaber clips if you do that a lot.

The center of gravity is better on the Mafex I think due to the different engineering of the knees, my Figuarts always wants to tip over.

I’m not sure if it’s just me but my mafex figures don’t seem to have the same quality as my sh figuarts figures. I don’t know if it’s the plastic or what but my mafex figures come apart far too easily for my liking but that could just be a me thing

I actually had a little segment about this, but wasn't sure I described it well. In general, I'm more comfortable passively playing with Figuarts than Mafex. Something about the plastics and paint being close to joints makes Mafex feel more delicate, more for display than play, while Figuarts holds up pretty well to both.

Thanks for showing the comparisons to Mafex and Black Series. I have been looking for a video since the figure released. The Figuarts head is definitely the best. That Figuarts Mando is undersized. The Ahsoka figure should work well with the Mafex Mando and Bo-Katan. I still think the new Black Series Ahsoka the White may end up being the nicest of all when it comes out. The knee joints are below the puffy pants instead of integrated into the pants and the likeness is spot on.

Yep, iirc Mafex Mando is closer to Ahsoka's height, so she's just a bit too tall. TBS Peridia Ahsoka looks potentially good, but I'm holding off for a few reasons: coin toss if the face will be good or ultra gloss, limited neck movement, and inevitable version with her cloak. Knee joint looks better, but I need to check if the pants should cover the knee in this outfit, because they do in the gray outfit. Also hoping SHF follows up with a version of their own, along with Sabine, Baylan, and Shin.

I'm liking the Figuarts's head and accessories, but I love Mafex's knees and the cloth textures and armor weathering. Also, isn't it weird that Mafex comes with less accessories?

I wouldn't say Mafex has strictly less, just one less face and no map. It has more hands, more saber hilts, and the much better cloak.

The Mafex Ahsoka is from the Mandalorian Season 2 and the SHF is from the Ahsoka series so the accessories are different based on her appearance in each show.

Whoa, I just checked the price on S.H.Figuarts Ahsoka and it's currently more expensive than Figuarts Boba Fett (The Book of Boba Fett), which comes with a THRONE. As good as she looks, I will pass and hope to catch a clearance sale later.

Ahsoka's price is about what I'd expect, so I think the Boba set was just discounted. That said, the same could happen with Ahsoka. SHF SW sometimes disappear quickly (Vader, Maul, Qui-Gon), and other times not so much (Mando, Jabiim Kenobi, ANH Luke reissue, ST).
