Yes I was quite pleased because I didn't think it would come together as well as it did. People and good music are key factors. Great presentation. I'm moving to Invercargill from Taupo a transfer through work. I'm currently on a Royal Enfield Himalayan I've had since new in 2019. I'm thinking about buying a CRF300 Rally. It's lighter and more pick up friendly than the Himmy which is 50kg heavier. I've just discovered your channel, so will look forward to looking at your other content for future ride ideas. Subbed

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean an open session so people can ask me any questions relating to what I do. I have had in the back of my mind for some time to (shooting from the hip now) do a trip to an interesting camping spot and get a good fire going, sit back with a smooth whiskey and tell how it all started for me laced with history here and there which could have relative video covering the conversation. Hi Andy, thanks for hooking into my channel. I had an idea when I finish the the final episode to answer the big question. Would I buy another Rally 300 and the answer is yes. Even Honda will tell you nothing mechanical lasts for ever, because all products will breakdown. Honda is known for the reliability of its products. The bike is a budget bike with sound basics ideal and apppealingfor a beginner, particularly because of its soft suspension but totally inadiquate for someone like myself. I have added sensible accessories to enhance the efficiency of the bike, particularly the handling and am satisfied as you can tell with my first test in Ep34. If you've watched Norally with her 'Itchy Boots' globel touring channel on utube you are looking at a Rally 300. As you might know, my normal bike is my Africa Twin. Riding a well set up 3 hundy is a totally different dynamic and when I ride it I can't stop smiling. Just be careful what accessories you plan to add and if engine perormance parts, discuss with your dealer pertaining to engine warranty. The thumbnail picture advertising ep44 told you how many kms the bike completed when it expired with a damaged piston and cylinder. Cheers

Hi Darryl, thanks for that really great reply. yes, i'll be keeping an eye out for the next episode. I have a road legal WR450F 2008, super reliable. Great off road, metal roads etc, on the road though she's a thumper so the 300 is what i was / am looking at for my next bike. nice and light, easy to handle but use it for what you have been doing so will be keen hear what happened and why.. again thanks for the reply. cheers Andy

Hi Darryl sorry to hear that the might little Honda had a meltdown. Hopefully you can get it sorted soon , or fly home and get “blacky” and then continue. My wife’s cb 650 f had a internal meltdown with 25k on the clock . Not viable to repair . Hi Kevin. Yes nothing that a new piston and cylinder couldn't fix. I'm back in Napier having enjoyed a couple of worthy rides on it. I flew home 5 days later after getting no satisfaction from Alexandra Honda. More about that on the next episode. Cheers

Goodness that's a shame mate. Do you know what caused the problem and have you done any repairs to the motor since? was a great watch...just love that Lindas Pass speaking from a road riding point of view of course.

Hi Noel it was a shame and I wouldn't wish that on anybody, but it is what it is and I'm happy to say all repairs have been made to my satisfaction. I'll enlarge more about that on my next video. Yes I love riding through the Lindis and am lucky that every time the weather has been stunning. Talking about road bikes, you wouldn't have any drama riding the average road bike through there in dry weather, I showed the only really difficult bit by the long stream and did that on my Africa Twin a year or two ago.
