Brings me back to childhood. This was sweet and heartfelt. Anytime you cast energy onto someone else, you run the risk of forming negative attachments. So what? Bring the negativity up and transmute the energy. I cast spells on both my brother and mom. They both went down in the back. Our conversations were subsequently very open and straightforward. I felt compassion never felt before. We actually worked out our differences. Source informed me that being bed bound left them time to think about how they had treated me. Many blessings here abound.

Yep as a Brit we still use the term Poppet as a term of endearment but more commonly used in my generation and upwards. But these poppets are awesome. To me it's like a physical spell if you will and as always the main ingredient is "the intention behind it". The more I discover my craft the more I fall in love in further with it😍. Thanks! Good video but then I'm partial to poppet magic. I guess I find them easy to focus intentions into. There's a book called "Utterly Wicked" by Dorothy Morrison that has some great poppet info and although the book mainly addresses "Hexes, Curses and other Unsavory Notions" much of it can be used for positive intentions as well. I find the hardest thing is to let the poppet go after it's done it's job. Unless I can burn it...so yeah I guess witches do like to burn things!

This kind of magick is right up my alley. I love getting crafty. It made me think of an interesting topic that I would like to see , if you choose - how art can be used for magickal work. I took a class in Paleolithic Archaeology and it’s theorized that hand stencils on caves were used as a form of ritual. So, art and belief (probably) go way back.

Hello there, I'm from the UK and loved the part where we call people "poppets" as a term of endearment, I still do call people that once in a while. Somehow, it never clicked until now via this video, us calling people that and the dolls called poppets. Probably because I hear so much being said to each other.

I like that you're enjoying your wine unapologetically. On youtube, gods forbid!, no drinking or smoking. I see that as hipocritical. And I, a solitary eclectic witch from the Northern Path (but all-inclusive, against any type of bigotry), though not a Wiccan, but am endeared to many good Wiccans out there. We pagans of many faiths should share all we know, and share all the positivity and love, no matter what our gods/goddesses are. My patron gods (caveat: I love Scandinavian paganism from about 1000 years before vikings, which don't deserve my respect: don't harm anyone or steal from them, please, guys) are the wonderful, strong, kind and loyal Thor (nothing to do with the Marvel Thor, though Chris Hemsworth certainly isn't an eyesore, totally on the contrary, and the Thor films are fun, though totally irrelevant to my faith) and the goddess of beauty, love, sex, war and magick, Freya, even though it was Odin (careful with him, he's tricky) roped me in about 20-25 years ago)). They choose you, not vice-versa, in our faith. I'm a solitary mystic (not religious), witch (Völva), gydhia (priestess), runologist (divination and magick) and shaman (seidhkona who travels via breathing techniques, not drugs). I'm peaceful, and for me, you Wiccans are very likeable people. I'm really into magick, and I find this video fantastic (I found it after Episode 66 on Servitors). You might also want to read John Kreiter's books on Servitors, where, instead of physical material, he uses solely energy. Fantastic stuff, like you guys! Hello from Seville, Spain!

Question does leaving your ancestors in the little urn keep them from moving on? It feels like your saying by putting the spirit in the doll your punishing it. Is that the same for an urn.
@pinktourmalinewitch27573 жыл бұрын
Sassy Saphire that's a great question... An urn keeps your loved ones physical reminence in it. It doesn't keep their spirit from moving on. Trapping souls can be looked at in all kinds of ways. Many wouldn't ever want to, but others like myself would. If you knew someone that was a terrible criminal with a rotten soul, maybe keeping them from coming back to harm others isn't such a bad thing. The ritual of trapping a soul is very serious. It should never be taken lightly. But you can rest easy knowing that the urn of your loved one isn't a prison to them.

That was kind of insensitive for her to call a murti a doll but not a voodoo doll a doll. Yeah, we all know Vodou is a closed religion and hard to find true info on it. It’s unfair to not lump both under this same category because they aren’t too far different. If you can’t do both, then don’t do either. In Greek Theurgy they practice something similar to this with statues. African fetish doll/sculptures is similar to this also. The Egyptian opening of the mouth ceremony is similar to this as well. If you’ve read Sexual Alchemy by Donald Tyson he incorporates plenty of techniques pulled from the Golden Dawn and Kabbalah to do something similar to this. If you really think about it Hoodoo and it’s mojo bags and etc. aren’t too far different either. All in all, the traditions are different, but it’s a figure encapsulating various items to creat a magickal object. It’s just another tool used to focus intent which is what magick all about.
