Really loved what Maija Burnett said towards the end about developing a plan similar to what a degree provides. The internet has opened so many doors to learning, but the hard part about doing it this way is I think sifting through the insane amounts of information for those quality tutorials/lessons to follow. It would be nice to hear about how one goes about creating a plan like that and what kind of skills/lessons are worth going in-depth or not. I also agree that accountability is very important to have if you want to go the self-taught route because as much as we want to finish animations, illustrations, assignments, etc., there are times where you just want to give up and/or become lazy. I think starting a community online is a wonderful place to form this kind of accountability, especially since you'll be surrounded by people who want to form genuine connections but also grow with each other as well. Would love to see you guys implement something like that with the podcast!!! Very insightful episode and I'm hoping to learn a lot more! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!! :D

Great podcast! Keep up the great work. Love that even as an educator, Maija acknowledges the fact that it's not necessary to go to art school to get into animation.
