What kind of exhaust shop uses those crappy squeeze clamps instead of welding?

On the back of an XJ, the mount is a rubber loop with a j-hook. The factory connection is a clamp. So they did the same. If they weld that mount it will vibrate and break and it’s impossible to get out for maintenance. So it’s only in the back at the mount. The rest is welded.
