I stopped going to o'Reilly's. Last year, my wife was put in the hospital. I didnt know how things were going to turn out. After driving to the hospital in the rain, I decided to get some new windshield wipers. This was in west plains missouri. The kid who sold me the wipers said he would install them for me. While he installed them, we talked about my troubles, and I started to cry. This had been one of the hardest weeks I'd ever lived through. He offered me a hug, and i dont know why, but i felt like i needed it. He was an incredible, kind, caring person, who helped me in one of my darkest times. When i returned two days later to thank him, and give him a few dollars so him and his girlfriend could have a nice dinner, i was informed that he had been fired two days ago for his behavior that day. He was the one person who showed me some humanity, and they fired him for it. This is why I will never give them one more red cent.

I gave O'Reilly's 4 years of my life and was treated horribly and taken advantage of. My manager who is retired now kept me at part time and worked me just enough hours to not qualify for full time. His beef with my father who was a former assistant manager of his kept me in a position of no possibility for advancement. I worked every weekend and closed every night. I was hired as a delivery specialist and did everything other than my job description. I'm savvy in the automotive world, I had many customers that loved me except my boss. I have many horror stories about that particular manager not to mention the problem with shrink. He was a very shady and crooked individual. My best year at O'Reilly's I made 16k ... I'm now a truck driver and I make over 100k per year. Suck on that Joe Hernandez of store 622 ! Follow your dreams don't let a scumbag manager keep you down!

I worked at O'Reilly Auto parts and I loved my job there. Yes my store manager was an over paid ass hole but I pretty much ignored her. And when you are an employee your job is what ever needs done even if it's not in the job description because there is always a part of it that says duties are limited but not limited to. Your job is to do what needs to be done period.

I worked for O'Reilly in one of the Bradenton stores, in 2016, for $8.05 an hour, and it was a complete shit show. I finally walked out after the "manager" told me I had to unload the truck, check it in, while answering the phone, and doing all the deliveries. Plus, my job title was merchandiser. Not any of those other things. When the "manager" threw the job description, that I never signed, in my face I told them to stick it. Best decision I ever made.

Then, in order to rub salt in the wound, they start tracking their drivers with software that cost something. And they start photographing their drivers weather driving, which I feel safe and secure law that can’t be enforced. Then, after reporting the purchase of this tracking software to help them enable them to run their operation better they scrapped a software, and they’re using nothing at all, so the pretenses or investing in the business by purchasing software which they later abandon but take the tax credits and continue to pay, their employees a wage they can’t live on while they supposedly track them. I have been accused of talking on my cell phone while I was driving their vehicle. However, it was the store that called me. And then they send you on these errands for their friends that you’re not to report on the computer because you’re not supposed to be using the company vehicles for personal reasons, pick ups and deliveries. But they’ve been the rules to suit themselves.

Even if they refute paying it they have made an investment in the hardware to run the software and then they choose to abandon it.

Very similar to my O'Reilly O'Shit story from 2014-2017, Middlesboro store. I survived five managers, but the last one was toxic. Schedules were posted but constantly changed. No one could plan anything because the manager literally owned us. She was jealous and vindictive toward me. All this for approx $8.50 per hour. I walked out one day after 3 years in that place because the "promised" Memorial Day weekend scheduling was suddenly changed without warning. The Wicked Witch of the West had struck again. See ya, bye! Glad to hear your story. Thank you, Sean

About 4 years ago I took a part time (2 days / week) driver poistion at a SC O'Reilly's. I am a retired Engineer and auto enthusiast and wanted to meet other car people in town. The Manager was a talented guy, a ton of car knowledge and a good parts man. Good with people as well. I was only being paid $9/ hour but didn't care because I was having fun. Things started to change, good folks quit and were replaced by folks with little to offer. The Manager was getting shit on by new district management, I could see his frustration growing. Then he told me what he was making, wow, low 30's. I'm sure my pension and SS was more than the entire store payroll. it was a small town, I had met everyone worth meeting so when the Manager quit I did also.

Facts. I loved working at advance. Every store in my area is excellent and they have all been there for years. O'Reilly is like going to Wal mart. I hate it. Because we needed a 6th auto parts store in our city area right? They put 3 in. We have 3 advance, one auto zone I won't go to , one Napa, Carquest who's is advance auto, international auto parts also advance And one other I forget their name. Then a private one called V.I. ENTERPRISES. How many do we need in a trie city area and it's 13 minutes between each advance. Each oreilys and the rest are all in between. Ludicrous.

I like the fact that the guys at advanced will actually help the customer figure out what parts are needed etc…I replaced the harmonic balancer on a trailblazer several years back and after the 4th time of the seal not seating, I was about to send this thing to the scrap yard…they printed out the expanded picture of the harmonic balancer and it’s components cuz it was obvious something was missing…it had been discontinued on the original replacement part and replaced with a different type of balancer that required a washer that only the Chevy dealer carried…it didn’t mention any of this on the info Chevy had provided and thankfully the guys noticed this washer in the diagram and called whoever and found out that info and actually tracked the part down for me…and! They gave me the parts that failed because I didn’t have this stupid washer, free where as I had to pay for the seal 3x at oreilleys for the same reason. It was no fault of my own because I was assembling it as directed in the manual…the manuals didn’t include the additional part now required with the new harmonic balancer they replaced with…so it was error made directly from Chevy…any mechanic shop would have been in the same boat I was in with the repair…they just happened to notice the difference…and it was a slight difference

As a store manager for O’Reilly I would like to personally say sorry for your experience with us. Some take this job serious and some don’t give two shits. I have a great team and have no issues with turnover. I am in the Colorado market so I will say the pay is much higher here as cost of living is also very high. I never charge my team for shirts and the company pays for 3 embroidered shirts if you are part time or 5 if your full time. This is paid for my O’Reilly every 18 months. The pocket t shirts are free for all team members. You would have loved your job if you would have worked with me. I guarantee it!

I was hired as asst mgr because I had grey hair. I never worked retail before. The guys that worked there quickly realized that as long as they did their job When the store was busy, I didn’t care what they did when it was slow so long as the shelves were stocked and the store was tidy. These young’ns also found out they didn’t have to take unnecessary crap from customers. More than once I told rude customers they were free to buy parts up the road at a different parts house, I even gave them directions. I failed to inform them that the parts house had closed down, the young’ns loved it. It worked great with the out of towners not so much with the locals. The manager of course got calls about it but I didn’t care and he more or less shrugged it off. Needless to say my time with Oreilly was short lived. I’m not a people person. I did enjoy helping people that were in trouble with a rare part and the old folks that needed help with wipers and light bulbs. The rest of them meh.

The past few years, I no longer expect anything out of a company. It almost like some companies are in business to drive the company out of business. Some coworkers have a similar attitude. While my pay has sucked for years, occasionally there are little “perks” that can make it tolerable. One company put up with an amount of tardiness from a few of us that I could not believe. (several hours late, several times) While I have had some really great supervisors, and worked with some really great people, others have managed to make the job truly miserable for the employees, and make the customers very unhappy. My current job is cool. The pay isn’t great, but acceptable for what is required of me. I don’t have a family to support, and no worries about a place to stay. I’m not wealthy at all, just minimal responsibility. So if the job ends tomorrow, whatever. It’s only an inconvenience. I don’t think good jobs for good people exist anymore.

I worked at O'Reilly's DC in Houston. It started out easy enough, but you leave until finish. Some people had kids, and I watched as management told everyone that they need to plan their lives around their job. One lady had a death in the family, and they gave her one day of bereavement. Another girl had a miscarriage, and was bleeding at work. They said she was still able to work, so she had to stay. You also can't have your phone despite most warehouses not caring. My wife hated that she couldn't get in contact with me directly if there was an emergency. As a former supervisor, I saw so many questionable things. My mom was admitted to the hospital due to a stroke, and they asked me if I was going to make it the next day. I just said to hell with it and found another job. Also, working to finish is bullshit. They work you until it hurts and then some. 8 hour days? Cool. 9 hours? Sure. 10 hours? Okay. 11? Come on, I have shit to do. 12 hours? Moving non stop? Hell no. I was in so much pain working there. My new job is way better, 10 holidays, forgiving time off if you need it, the ability to have your phone in your pocket, a set work schedule, caring management, and work life balance which I really appreciate after working at O'Reilly's. Please never ever work there unless you want your job to be your life. Not getting Easter off kind of sucked. At least give people a choice during holidays. Eff that place!

This is so relatable! I think you've just described the situation of millions of people working across the US as well as Canada and elsewhere. I agree with what you were saying about how companies need to treat people right and you're right that if it's not in the job description you don't have to do it. Some owners or managers need to understand you don't hire a servant to do whatever you want them to do for 8 hours. You hire someone for a particular job, that's the agreement. I think it really comes down to treating people as human beings with lives, if only more people could do that.

I quit my job at Boeing after 17 years to run my bicycle shop full time. I hated every single day I worked there building 737 Wings. But they paid the bills, put my kids through college, and made my life at home relatively easy. I never gave that enough credit. I ran my bicycle shop for 12 years. It had its plus' and minus'. Plus was that I ran my own show. I enjoyed and took pride in everything I did...well 99 % of it anyway. Minus was that I became 100% responsible for the money I had coming in. Zero vacation, zero sick leave, zero benefits. There were a lot of days I made zero money. I basically broke even with some spending money but not much savings at all. Going in I had this grand illusion of closing up and going fishing whenever I wanted etc...NOTHING COULD'VE BEEN FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. I was fully responsible now for making all my payments, both the Lease, (which turned out to be a Mortgage), my house Mortgage, Internet, Utility's, etc...for both home and work. Boeing no longer provided for my family. I made that decision to quit Boeing. I'd never been able to do any of this but my wife was a Teacher. If you had a good job teaching, and you quit to "do KZbin videos," then that's on you. Believe me when I say I understand how you feel...it sucks. O'Reillys is a business. It does suck that they treat their employees like you say. Walmart, Amazon, and a lot of other companies like them are taking over the world and I agree its not fair to the people that lug them along on their backs. If enough people would "QUIT" Theyd have to slow down or give up their takeover of the world. I simply couldnt take the downside of a good job. I felt like a drone. You are probably my age, I just turned 60. Not sure how hard it'd be to go back to teaching. My Daughter works at Costco, she says they treat her pretty good. I do know that trying to run your own show (like OReilys does) is not easy...in 12 years I wasn't even able to hire anybody to give me time off...I still own the building but that too is nothing but a burden. Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it. Good luck...Substitute Teaching? I'm retired now but with ZERO income waiting till I turn 62-1/2. I do wish you well.

You are my age, hush up boomer! I never wanted to go into business for myself for exactly the reasons you outlined.... plus... I watched the owners of local businesses hire people, trust people, do as much good as they could afford for people who stole from them sometimes in spite of it... my dad was a master electrician and lineman for the power company, but he farmed on the side... waste of time... it was good for cashflow, but he SELDOM made a dime.... just never saw the advantage of being my own boss... I do have a couple college degrees, and work at an analytical job, which is not the most fun anybody ever had, but at least I have the bills paid, and as you said, bennies..... Ironically, I haven't had a vacation since 2005... I went to New Orleans five weeks before Katrina hit it.... never want to go back there again.... I do take days off here and there, but not very often.... I think that part of the American dream is forever gone in our rush to "compete" (I HATE that word) ... I spent my youth trying not to be my parents...now I only wish I could be like them.... they retired with a decent life, I dread getting old and living on cat food tacos....

Run your own business? everyone is your boss. Or they don't pay you what they owe you. Treating your customers good, hopefully a few good employees along the way. In the food business or retail you got to be there all the time. I knew a guy who owned a bar. They served lunch and sandwiches. He left the place on auto pilot at night. He knew the girls were giving beer away and probably borrowing money. Buy He decided it wasn't worth his health being there every minute. He was happy with the return. The beer distributors knew what his financial pot should have looked like. He knew it, too. He fired and hired the same girls over and over. But overall, he knew what was going on. Another person I know who's husband ran the family owned business. After he died unexpectedly, his wife had no clue what was going on, letting other family members run the business. A McDonald's accountant tells me it's hardly profitable owning a store. Owning many is the only way but difficult. The cost of what your required to buy is pricing your profits away. And it's planned that way.

You are SO correct in your assessment of O’Reilly Auto Parts, they “talk the talk” but NEVER “walk the walk”!” After having been a corporate owner and exec for many years I sold out and retired, then came out of retirement to work at O’Reilly for the benefits, same as you. I was a store manager in a Las Vegas location for nearly a year but walked away because the company treats their people like disposable diapers, once you’ve been used you’re tossed away. Your comment about O’Reilly having a record year yet paying a terrible wage is SO correct, yet O’Reilly corporate people continually tout the tremendous earnings. O’Reilly corporate people are 100% tone deaf! One thing to remember/know if you end up working for O’Reilly is every layer of personnel above your position is bonused on the savings they can show, so if the district manager can get you to take a store managerial position for less money the district manager is then showing savings for the corporation, which the district manager is then bonused on. The district manager has now crapped out a new manager, the manager then feels less than motivated to direct his/her store and team to do a better job, then the corporate dumbasses show up and complain the store is under-performing. Hmmmmm????? 2 days off in a row is not unheard of at O’Reilly but certainly not Saturday and Sunday, just not going to happen there. If you’re a manager you are supposed to get Sunday and Monday off while the assistant manager is supposed to get Thursday and Friday; the remaining team members days off are spread around the week in the best possible manner. I mentioned these things, as well as many other items, during the last corporate get-together I attended prior to my resignation but to my knowledge not a single thing I noted to corporate was ever seen, let alone acted upon. O’Reilly has the desire, the means, and the wherewithall to own the market but will continue to struggle in that effort while their mentality remains as it is, and since they only promote from within the mentality will probably never change and their goal to own the market may never be realized. As a sidenote, I took a position at a high-end restoration/hot-rod shop and take care of all the parts ordering, and O’Reilly offers me the best delivery and selection of all the parts houses in town, so I’m still helping them to achieve their goal of auto parts supply dominance (THEIR term, not mine). A TERRIBLE company to work for!

I worked at O'Reilly for only 4 months as a part time delivery driver. They say they'll train you, but they're full of crap. I was required to learn storefront work and learn their system and policies on any time I wasn't pulling parts and making deliveries which is what I struggled to pick up on. The assistant manager who was supposed to be training me at the time which he didn't, instead the douche gave me a hard time and lectured me in front of other staff when I did something incorrectly. He even told the store manager I wasn't trying very hard while I was there every day busting ass and doing everything he asked me to do even when I wasn't familiar with it. That's why I didn't last that long. Horrible self entitled staff.

I doubt you read a comment a year after the video. I just quit my job as a manager at the local O'Reillys. I got to a point where I kept asking for help to get my store straight and get some good hires, no help. I was told to step down or lose my job, I stepped down and was waiting for the new manager to take over. I had a vacation scheduled for over 2 months with a grand tied up in a reservation for my family. Got down to the wire and was told they could not afford for me to take a vacation due to staffing. If I go I turn in my keys and be done. I turned in the keys and let know I wasn't taking a grand loss and break promise to my wife and daughter when I had been asking for help. Now we see if they try to screw me over a 109 hours of pto time.

It was many things, but basically we had no managers (they all quit) we were 2 drivers short (they quit after the manager) and there were 6 people to do the job of 12. They would not promote anyone, instead they just gave everyone more responsibilities. Now, that is fine for the short term, but this was the long term plan. There is training for things, and certain jobs, and they just ignored it. They were having people use personal vehicles for deliveries, they didnt put schedules out until the day before they started (should have been a week in advance) they were breaking the norms and policies and requirements that they, themselves, as a company, had put in training videos. I didnt mind helping occasionally but when it is everyday without a raise, without any consideration, then that is a problem. And when you are told that you had a base pay AND that you would get bonuses/commission equal to $1-$2 for every hour worked, and your company is bragging on MSNBC, CNBC, Fox Business, and industry trade mags that they are having record profits, but as a full time employee that worked 38-40 hours a week, my monthly bonus was less than $40, then its a problem. As I said in the video, if I was making a decent wage ($15/16 and hour) then it may jave made a difference, but when the attitude was that they can have me do anything, does that mean I sould drive a Tractor Trailer? Scuba Dive (I am Nitrox certified), fly a plane, at what end do my skills end at what I was hired to do vs my capabilities. It IS a problem that most of the managers and executive white collar people who have commented on this video seem to not see a problem with paying someone for the job they were hired for, and if more required, then pay additional. I worked in the entertainment business prior and I can tell you am IATSE Union stage Carpenter will not be focusing lights, tuning instruments, operating a camera as BUSY WORK. Maybe look at people as professionals and pay them as such and we could have a great country and middle class again. It seems that one of the kids or maybe the corporate people are trying to put comments on here. So if you see something by a Zak....blah blah blah...that is them. As you all know (and the videos are on here) I toured with bands as an IATSE stagehand, I worked in the film industry (The photos and other stuff from the Beverly Hils California auction of my stuff is on here, I flew in the Navy, and I have raced cars. You all know this is true and documented, but the people who I worked with cant believe people would do such things, though many of you who I have known for years know this is true (or just watch the videos). The problem with these small minded people are they can believe that anyone could go accomplish things and so they want to troll )

I worked at AutoZone for a little less than a year, I loved all the good customers I got to help out, and of course the discount I got for some stuff for my car, including brake pads and rotors. However 2 of the managers created too much drama and I wasn't going to be a part of it, I was also going broke and I couldn't pay my bills. Other customers expected me to be a full on mechanic at minimum wage. Their computer's software was stuck in the 1990s and my managers would get mad at me when I didn't know how to use it to process a return or a warranty swap. I ended up quitting along with 5 others within a month, and I got my class A CDL and became a truck driver. I make better money, better benefits and I have no short tempered manager looking over my shoulder. I should also mention that my store did not have name tags, just tape and paper to put on our shirts.

I worked for O'Reilly in Florida also and know what your talking about. First I was hired full time and worked more hours than the manager and after a year there I asked to take my vacation and was told I did not have any coming because I was part time. I finally got it fixed to where they showed me full time but was told I had to wait a year before I was eligible for vacation. Then I was offered an assistant managers position by the regional sales manager only to not receive the pay increase and be pushed back down when the regional manager hired some guy he knew for the job. A few months later I was offered another assistant managers position by the regional manager and he never followed thru on that deal. They have a habit of hiring so called experienced managers or district managers that lie to the employees and on top of it all they don't have the slightest clue what they are doing. That being said my manager himself was great.

Management, and who you work with makes all the difference in your work experience. I've been lucky enough to work union most of my life. They can't tell me to do what is not in my job description. I know that sounds like I'm being a jerk, but without any barriers, you can be taken advantage of. Most employees treated with respect will be willing to help out at any time.

I spent 7 years at O'Reilly at 23 locations. Delivery specialist, parts specialist, retail service specialist, installer service specialist, assistant manager, inventories, and acquisitions. DMs actually had a joke; "Don't make me send *****" .I travelled all over the state doing inventories at other stores and converting bought competition stores into O'Reilly stores. I was paid a flat $12 an hour when I finally quit. I didn't even quit because of the pay. I quit because of the toxic environment. I loved what I did! But when a coworker threatens you, it's better to leave instead of break his already frail body.

Your experience reminds me of a machine shop I worked at in the mid 90s. I had to serve on a jury, as I left that evening to serve on a jury the next day, my supervisor informs me that I would not be getting paid for jury duty. I never imagined that a company with around 90 employees would not pay for jury duty. I lost 8 days of pay, and a bunch of work waiting for me when I got back.

Yup, gotcha Michael. BUt working an auto store desk isnt entry level, they want people with years of automotive experience. If you go to McDonalds, the counter kid isnt supposed to know how to tell you to grow the food, butcher the meat, tell you which menu item is best for your diet, and show you how to cook it, but that it what is expected at automotive stores.

I remember when I worked at checker auto, the schedule sucked so much that there were many times when I would clock in only to have my manager tell me to clock out for lunch. On top of that, the cameras in the store were always aimed at the employees. At the registers, the camera looked at the employee and the cash register to make sure they didn't steal. A thief could walk right out the door with a very good chance of not being identified.
@TheFrenchPug

That's typical in all retail stores. There is an avg amount that employees always steal so they know they're going to catch them. External theft also has an expectation on the accounting line.

The Distribution Center in TN was begging for people for months, so after leaving a shitshow shoe distribution center, I applied... and O'Reilly's left me hanging for a month (and my friend who works there kept on them about contacting me) before I heard anything, then finally a drug test and background check, and another month goes by. At this point I'd already gotten another job for Fedex Ground (less than 24hrs from sending application to getting getting a reply for an orientation date for 2 days later to start work), and O'Reilly's got annoyed that I blew them off. As per my insider friend, he said it literally took them over half a year to fill the positions they needed to make the numbers they were supposed to, all the while pushing endless mandatory overtime on the current employees to the point they were losing people faster than they could (or would) hire them. Also no one seemed super excited or motivated about working 8+hrs in a non-climate controlled warehouse in record hot TN summer heat and humidity.

The independent auto parts store near me has the same people working there for nearly thirty years. Their delivery guy is a developmentally disabled guy and has been working there almost as long. The locally owned stores are what you should look for. I had a similar experience as an assistant manager and installer sales specialist in a Virginia store. As an assistant, I started out at $12 /hr and was promised up to $16 /hr when I was moved to the ISS position (never happened). The "commission" is a joke unless you sell at least $50,000 of parts a month. The store manager and district manager both promised me a possible manager position but never worked with me to train me to be a manager. The manager was supposed to make garage visits to give support for the ISS, but he would leave and go home for the afternoon and not return for the day. There were people working there for several years just barely making over minimum wage, and when the minimum wage was raised, they were only moved to the new minimum wage. Loyalty and hard work are not rewarded by O'Reilly Auto Parts. So. I would say the company as a whole is a toxic sesspool to work for. I encourage all the guys I worked with to leave and go get a real job that pays better and treats you like a real person, not just a warm body. DO NOT EVER WORK FOR THEM!!!

Unfortunately Sean most these auto part chains pay their employees a non living wage, I thought about taking a job as part-time work thinking it would be cool make some extra money meet car people maybe even get employee discount on parts for my projects. After checking out all the different places I now understand why they always need help and why I tend to know way more than 90% of the people working there and why I will continue to look up my own parts ahead of time before going in. I have a good friend who works at Napa and I don't know why but I am glad he does because he hooks me up with the discount when he can. He doesn't make much there and I know he could make much better doing allot of other things but he did say that the margins are so tight with all the online competition now. I think these companies use this as an excuse not to pay their employees because I call BS when you see these companies profit sheets. I do tend to order most my stuff online and cut these middle men out when I can plus most the time they have to order stuff in and I can do that just as fast as they can too.

The employees are great at both stores and the employees have all been there for a long time. I hope that speaks to how well they are treated and compensated. Happy employees bring in customers. I loved employees so much, when they moved to a different store, I moved my business to wherever they went. Just saying, a good employee makes for loyal customers. Fire an employee and you start from scratch training a new employee and you've already lost your customers that followed the employee that was fired. Trust me, they are going to return.

When I worked for O'Reilly in the Tyler TX district all they cared about was phone etiquette, pushing promotions. and up selling. I was 3 months in and in that time everyone quit except me and 3 other guys because they felt like they were solely taking care of the bottom line, and forgetting about the customers. They strung out a great employee who had been with the company for 5 yrs and was promised a management position she got passed over everytime to someone they just hired fresh off the street. The boiling point for her was when they wouldn't give her a raise because her salary for her position is capped out so she put in her 2 weeks notice and left to go to work somewhere where she made 2x as much doing half the work what she was doing at O'Reilly. The boiling point for me was I was helping a customer and I answered the phone and very politely asked if I could put him on hold just for a moment and to make a long story short they threatened to fire me for that so I went to lunch and never came back.

I've been with oreillys for a while. My DM in Seattle was a blessing. Super nice, and has been with the company for years. I have never heard him say anything but good things about the employees under him. I worked around at different stores, and I haven't experienced any of these things. It all comes down to the district, I suppose. I'm sorry to hear about those mishaps and the lack of appreciation of the vets on the team. At the oreillys I work, we get time and a half during Thanksgiving, and at my old store, the manager was truthfully excited about any improvements for his employees, and the oreillys I work at now, we have a great team of folk that are all knowledgeable (you won't make it far if you aren't) and get along nicely. If you ever think about working at O'Reilly's, talk to somebody at the front desk, and ask what their experience is with working at the company, and specifically at the store. Usually, we are pretty open about the workplace environment, so that will give you insight. I would consider reaching out to HR, as my experience has it, HR is extremely responsive, and they investigate things quickly.

Sean, my son worked for Oreilly for about 6 months, he enjoyed the helping people plus he is just naturally mechanically inclined like me. Just like you and most of the comments I read upon manager change he started hating his job. He wasn't making great money but the discount he got on stuff at the store was kinda nice and I was able to use it also and I spend a decent amount (probably around what his annual income would have been). But he had a big falling out with a new manager who just like you wanted him to inventory and he didn't know anything about doing inventory, so he quit. I got him on where I work and he seems to love it, about double the pay, great benefits, and plenty of hours. Sadly we don't get a lot of time off but he's 21 and I'm 42 so gotta make that money so my wife can spend it! We are in south central Ohio.
