I liked the dramatic back-lighting! Don't apologize!---I read Little Women when I was laid up with bilateral mumps in 7th grade. The neighbor brought over some books for me to read while I was stretched out on the couch (1962!).

Those were sweet people at that sale. I like all the old kitchen utensils too (and cookbooks). Something about using them feels like being in an old farm kitchen...smelling the bread raise and feeling the love.

Ok you guys. 🤪 Have a laugh at my expense…I’m American and had to look up “House Hippo”. In my defense, we didn’t have that 1999 commercial here in The States. For others who don’t know what it is, there is a KZbin video of the commercial. I think I will have to start the house hippo gag here.

A copy in good condition like yours was sold on Etsy for 160 dollars. The cheap versions are because of Library editions and damaged copy's. Your book could easily sell for 100 as long as it doesn't have any library stamps. That is what kills 99% of a books value . Next is a missing book cover. Then missing pages. But if they are rare it doesn't matter. The version that sold for the 160 was just like yours and no book cover.
