Hi buddies,
Welcome back to my channel🙏🏻!
In this episode 6 of the series, I visited Daikozenji and Dazaifu on the 31st of Oct 2024.
My route started from Hakata Sta. to Tosu Sta., then to Kiyama Sta. and lastly took a taxi to Daikozenji. After visiting Daikozenji, I walked 1 hour back to Kiyama Sta. since I couldn't find a taxi at all, then I took a train to Futsukaichi Sta. and walked another 15min to Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Sta. to catch another train to Dazaifu. On return, I took a direct bus from Dazaifu to Hakata Sta. Seems complicated?
Despite the remoteness of Daikozenji, it's a nice place to visit only in the RIGHT season. The photos/ videos I watched on the net are quite different from what I've seem. At the time of my visit, some parts of the temple were under construction, heavy machineries made huge annoying noise. Plus, there were many spider webs along the trails, if you don't pay much attention and open up your eyes wide, you face probably will run into some. The sticks I mentioned in my videos are not being used as walking aid, they are for wiping the spider webs.
Dazaifu is a popular tourist spot, it won't disappoint but at the same time, it doesn't give any surprises. Snacks and food along the walking street were just mediocre. Temples were nice.
More episodes in Kyushu will be posted soon includes Itoshima, Karatsu, Nagasaki, Kumamoto and Kagoshima. Please like and subscribe for more upcoming content.
Thanks for watching!
I'll be exploring Tohoku in March 2025 for 3 weeks, please feel free to suggest "MUST VISIT " spots and stay tuned.
