Another long episode chock-a-block full of useful tips and shortcuts! Dave starts underneath the car and then works his way into the engine bay where he wires all injectors and coils followed by a whole bunch of sensors; cam, crank, flex, knock, thermo fan, air temp, fuel pressure along with the dbw throttle body, alternator, battery. Dave also explains the subtle differences between the pull-to-seat and push-to-seat connectors and figures out the best place to mount the wideband controller box. So make sure you're nice and comfortable before you hit that PLAY button, this is going to be a long one!

Another great one Dave and the crew! I actually didn't know about the pull to seat connectors (most of my experience is with deutsch and wetherpac connectors) so now that I've seen that, I TOTALLY get why you don't normally do service loops. That really would be a PITA

Great videos, attempting to replace injectors and setup a sport 2000 to my 2jzgte tundra. Ran into all the types of connectors mentioned and did it through trial and error. Still working out the kinks adding sensors and wideband into the old ratty plug and play harness. Would love to replace the loom with a premium 8ft next winter. Wish I had watched this before messing with it, thanks for taking the time.

My whole life the newer engines gave been a mystery because of so many holes pins and weird designs of engines. Now I understand that each object has its wires that are veins

Regarding the shielded wires in the loom, Can we use the shield as the return path for the sensor? Ie. a 3 wire sensor with +5V, Signal, GND would only require a +5V and AVI/SPI to wire, saving on sensor GND wires.

I'm curious about your shielded wires. Have you tested how much they cut noise? I thought both end need to be grounded to really work well otherwise it's not as good as it could be. Granted getting a metal connector or a way to ground at the connector might not be worth the trouble but I'm curious if you've tested to see if the expense is worth it.

I really need some info on these. These push to lock delphi connectors. I got them in a bag with the white pieces on. Do I need to pull these off when inserting the pins? I crimped some pins on but I actually needed to push the pin in with a tool on the back to make them seat with brute force. Pretty sure I'm doing something wrong here. Barely could find some actual detailed installation info on these online.
