This one is really one of my top BLs..... rewatching it after so long throught your reactions!! It is such a beautiful grounding series about good people just trying to be happy!

I totally agree with you on this. And that is what I love about this show. Nobody’s just a bad person in this show. Everyone is just trying their best to be good people. It just shows that no one’s perfect and we all just make mistakes.

I loved your reaction and I feel like we were totally in sync with this series. I also understood Alan from the beginning and just wanted him to be happy by the end. So glad they gave us AlanGaipa! I loved the adult storyline and how well done this series was. Aof is one of the best directors for a reason. The acting, the character arch’a and growth, the realistic happy ending that didn’t feel forced or unnatural… I can go on. I really enjoyed this and will miss these characters.

They wrapped everything up really nicely in a way that it feels just like real life - you know it will keep continuing afterwards, and they'll keep living their lives. A really special series. :)

Was worth the wait to see you slide off your chair😂 Loved the show and all the cast. All the main group of characters deserved to move on, find happiness or the home they were looking for. I like that despite their various struggles, each character found themselves in a better place, or taking steps in that direction, by the end of the series. Still a lot of shows to come this year, but feel like this one will definitely stay near the top and stick with me for a good while.

i was the same way! this show was one where i loved all the actors/pairs in the show but the concept itself i wasnt sure if i would like. i didnt initially watch the first 4 episodes when they came out. but then i heard people raving about the show so i got caught up and then watched ep 5 when it came out and now i think this show has replaced my #1 spot for shows!! my top show before was Not Me. followed by My Only 12%. This gave me the nostalgia/atmosphere of my only 12%, i told sunset about you/i promise you the moon!! that beautiful cinematography, the deep story, not relying on clickbaity or comedic themes to pull in viewers. just very wholesome and comforting. put me deep in my emotions! i love that each character was fleshed out and well rounded. just such a beautiful show!! :)

This series was very emotional for me, especially seeing Beam in the hospital and Mrs. Hong's funeral (bad memories, still fresh in my mind, it was too real). I wasn't quite prepared for so much crying in the last two episodes (both from sadness and happiness) and for so many heavy topics throughout the show - since I've watched previous two shows in those "Midnight Series" and the other two were very lighthearted... But I really loved "Moonlight Chicken" 💜 - it's tied with "Dirty Laundry" for my favorite Midnight Series, for two different reasons. Every week I've waited impatiently for "Moonlight Chicken", because I was invested in those characters and their relationships, their growth and the story overall. For "Dirty Laundry", I couldn't wait for next episodes because it was so ridiculously fun! I loved how exaggerated everything was - it wasn't annoying for me, because from the start we know what to expect and the story is filled with ridiculousness lol They knew what they were doing, the vibe of this series was clear and executed perfectly, in my opinion 👌 I swear, every time Pond's character (Judo) said or did something, I literally started choking on my coffee 😂 At some point I stopped drinking anything while watching - what's the point if I might die, because I laugh every 10 seconds 😂 Also, now I have the biggest crush on the female lead actress, Film 😍 and she had great chemistry with Nanon. "Midnight Motel", the first series, was very interesting, it's more like a dark comedy, but some things in the script got me frustrated. Even so, I was still quite impressed with how this show was shot. Off was also amazing in his role, it suited him well. "Midnight Motel" was a good introduction and starting point to these Midnight Series, after that it got better and better. "Dirty Laundry" had great cast, clever script and boosted up my mood every time, but both this and "Midnight Motel" were comedy series - so "Moonlight Chicken" took me by surprise. I felt like I was hit by a truck lol I might re-watch "Moonlight Chicken" later with my sister and definitely recommend it to friends (because I'm proud of this series!), but because I don't cry on "Dirty Laundry" I want to replay it more, especially when I'm in the crappy mood. It has very specific type of humor, so I guess it's not for everyone's taste, but I loved it. I'm curious what others think. Did you watch the rest of the Midnight Series? It's interesting how all three shows are focused on money problems, but one is a dark comedy with mafia vibes, one is a mystery drama straight up from a fever dream and one is totally serious and realistic.

I didn't end up watching them, though I was tempted because I knew some of the actors. It might be something I get around to but Moonlight Chicken was the only one that I was really excited to watch, and I'm so glad I did! I'm glad you loved it too.

@@EmberWishes to be honest, all three of these shows I started watching just because of the cast, but I'm also glad I did. Don't know if you would like to react to them in the future, but even just for yourself, to de-stress after some heavy series, it's a fun alternative 😉 GMMTV had an interesting idea, to make 3 mini series about the same issue (money problems), but with completely different approaches. Hope they would do something similar again 😊
