Ive been watching a ton of prep videos for the test and you my friend are far and beyond in regards to simplicity and understanding. I feel like many of these guys who are "prepping" us students are more interested in conveying what they know in a "look at me" fashion. You break this down to perfection and for that...thank you.

PSIA is pounds per square inch ABSOLUTE (not atmospheric). As stated in the video, psig is pounds per square inch gauge. Unless calibrated to do otherwise, all gauges even outside of HVAC applications normally measure pressure above or below atmospheric pressure (about 14.7 psi). The low pressure gauge is called "compound" because it measures both positive pressure and negative pressure (suction). That is, it is a pressure and vacuum gauge combined; hence, "compound." The high pressure gauge cannot measure suction (negative pressure). That is why it is not considered a compound gauge.

1:47:30 Update: leak repair trigger rates for appliances with >50lbs of refrigerant are: - Comfort cooling: 10% - Commercial refrigeration: 20% - Industrial process refrigeration: 30% - All other appliances: 10%

Agreed. This video makes a nice summary for anyone preparing for an EPA Section 608 exam, but there are several points out-of-date, misstated (e.g. audio mistaken but visual correct), and a few significant errors. A good study technique requires you to work through multiple sources, so you should be able to identify the errors in your parallel reading.

CONFUSED: Cory, at time 1:03:43 I understood you to say "proper charging method is to weigh refrigerant into the high side(liquid side) as a liquid. Than at 1:03:43 did you say " charge from a cylinder into the suction side. ???? don't understand.
