Thanks for posting this! The Aztec emperor seen in the last film sequence was Florencio Yescas, leader of the first Aztec dance groups in the US. He also designed and produced the costumes and provided the music and instruments as well as the dancers, many of whom are still performing today. R.I.P. Florencio 10/30/23-7/5/85... we still miss you.

Because I have never been on this one, I can't really say I like it or not, but from this video, it looks as if it was a nice and relaxing ride :) I really do like the new one though, mostly because I am a Caballeros fan! And I love Test Track and Mission Space, but I never went on the old rides that they replaced.

I think their intention was to try and balance out the 'age group appeal', but the ride didn't 'balance out' like they thought it would. I can see how it could have worked if it was a lot more like the original "Three Caballeros" movie, with the character commentary instead of the characters interrupting the culture and scenes in the ride.

@jdohe I second the notion! If they had added the Three Cabanerros at the end rather than putting them everywhere in the ride, that would've been one thing. But with the very specifically timed clips of the Three Cabanerros, they run the risk of the ride being out of sync for certain riders.

@jdohe Recessions/depressions are hard to understand. On one hand, entertainment businesses can get hit hard because no one wants to buy such luxuries anymore. But on the other hand, people may feel more tempted to blow what little money they have on a great movie or one memorable vacation; something that will help them forget how much life sucks right now.

Since Disney put in such an incredibely crappy version of Pirates of the Caribbean in WDW, i'm glad they incorporated a similar beginning scene for this ride. I love the "outdoor" restaurant themes in both El Rio del Tiempo and Pirates at Disneyland.

I hate what they've done to this ride and Spaceship Earth. They took away all the mysticness and wonder of both rides and replaced them with pure tackyness.

Yeah. It's seems to be a kind of mix that gave a concept between It's a small small world (and I hate this one already 'cause it's noisy and repetitive) and Pirates of the caribbean and done badly. It's ugly, not pretty and, like you said, boring and nothing to enjoy. At least, the three caballeros are funny and the idea in the ride Grand Fiesta allows to do funny things and shows pretties landscapes to kids. More, the sets are done well better to my taste, well much better that in El Rio del Tiempo I think. All I say is no regrets for replacement of El Rio del Tiempo and great to have Grand Fiesta as replacement.
