EPCOT Test Track September 2024 Construction Update - Canopy Removed & More | Walt Disney World

Here is a quick construction update of Test Track at EPCOT, filmed on September 7th 2024. The canopy has been completely removed, which now brings back the complete view of the pavilion. More signs have been removed, like the standby & Lightning Lane signs, as well as the first Test Track sign with the car as you approached the canopy/entrance area. From the monorail, you can also see that most of the concrete has been completely destroyed. The end shot is a view of the pavilion at night with its restored original view, and you can also see the lights on inside the Test Track lounge at the very top of the building!

No, Cars is a franchise set mostly in the American wilderness where the characters train in forests and deserts, unlike the Moana attraction there is no possible way to do edutainment. Frontierland/Rivers of America is themed to the American wilderness, so it’s the perfect spot aesthetic wise. People act like Disney can’t use trees as visual blockers to hide the Cars from other areas, then the rest of the concept is perfectly consistent with the current sight lines being forests and mountains.
