I find the side of a mountain and carve it out first. After I collect some wood and manufacture a pick ax. While you're digging, you get tons of stone and materials. Plus, shelter is easy. You just need a door, an ax, a pick, and a building table. I built a stone palace out of the rocks I mined. I actually tore down a whole mountain and then leveled the ground and built on it. It's funny, because animals are somehow able to climb the ladders I guess? They get on my balcony. I love Minecraft, but it's easy to spend a lot of time playing. From my experience, the torches don't seem to do much. But I don't have much trouble with mobs, so maybe they do.

I must say this (before someone is being a dick to you for this). It is axe. Not ax. :) And also torches do affect mob spawning. Hostile mobs don't spawn in areas that have light in them :)

Im no pro, but I know how to survive for long, you need a steady farming system, possibly a village nearby, and a portal to nether... but before any trips you need armor , good shelter, weapons, and farms

Surviving is easy, completing the game is hard. Sitting in your house and just eating till night is easy

Advanced stuff: you can dig for some redstone and create simple circuit things, build red torches that provide "electricity" etc. This could be fun. This can lead to create automatic things like doors opened by buttons, levers, plats. You can build minecart, then rails and then ride it, and this is the way u can create very long rail track where u slowly ride in a minecart whispering about what you see etc. You can create waterslides, boats and swim it. There is lots of stuff to do here actually

Torches keep mobs from spawning within where it’s light level is high enough, I don’t even think it’s possible for mobs to spawn within 5 blocks of a torch: so if you just cover an area with torches placing one. Every 10 blocks or so it should stop mob spawing for the most part

simepl stuff: you can create a fishing rod and go fishing with it. U can go to some rly cold biome and create a house out of ice, u can shovel snow there and arrange it into snowbals, create a snowman (gotta find pumpkin first) etc. etc. etc. etc.

Honestly, I'd rather see you design a house and pick a location. If we've seen anything from your videos; it's your creativity - and Minecraft is a game that lets you create to your heart's extent and then live in that creation. I'm excited to see what your world will become if you really start to get into the game.

The one thing I keep nitpicking on is simply the misuse of tools xD I used to do that too. Axe- tree pickaxe-mining stone shovel- digging sand and dirt. As for what to do experiment with the game all you want

Just to let you know, that high-pitched squeal you heard is Ambience, a set of sounds that will only play when you are near a dark cave. There are a handful of them, they creep some people out since they only play in dark underground places, but they don't actually signify anything, so don't worry about getting attacked when you hear demonic growls/roars or those ghostly sounds.

Torches DO prevent mobs from spawning, E.R. - under most circumstances. Mobs spawn based on the light levels of blocks, so as long as a block is well-lit (presumably from a torch) hostile mobs usually don't spawn on them.

Start brewing potions! Go into the nether, get a bunch of netherwart and soul sand, and start a plantation. Then kill blazes with some snowballs until you get blaze rods, and make a potion stand. Js brewing is really fun

Mobs don't spawn in areas with light, whether it be daylight or torch lights. A torch usually covers about 5 blocks every way or a ten by ten block.

The best Idea is to start farming, its best to make sure you have a steady supply of food before going on ANY type of trip, farming meaning not only wheat/potatoes/carrots, but also of cows, chickens (especially), and pigs...

when you make a map there is levels on it and if you dig down to level 12 there is all sorts of ore mate diamonds mainly you just need to do straight mines digging forward or there in caves and mob spawners

Its not as crazy as it sounds. You place a red mushroom, right click on it with bonemeal, and you've got a house. It saves resources and its fast.

If you always put your torches on one side of caves/mines you will easily know if you are heading in deeper, or out towards the entrance. A useful trick @TainMarr taught me watching Minecraft in the Morning

Hey ER heres a tip. Never use wooden tools BESIDES a wooden pickaxe. They arent worth it. Get a wooden pickaxe and just get stone instantly!

The things that come out of rocks are silverfish silverfish are only found in strongholds there are only 2 strongholds per world they lead to the 'End'
