Thanks so much for this. First time for tuning into "Ask a Theologian". All rich and fascinating. I noticed that when Dr. C. talked about the "ascending", and then the "descending into the lower parts of the earth", Eph 4:9, that he resisted any comedy about him living "down under" and which way would be "ascending"? Seriously, though, his comment on that sounded very reasonable.
