Great storytelling. I was out in AB, near Longview, back in November. Stunning scenery and an abundance of animals. Got a nice whitetail (biggest I've shot), but the mule deer eluded us. You guys are hard-core.

Back when I was in AB, insulated NEOs were the thing back then. They were great for those AB winters. Can still wear your normal boots in them. Highly recommended if you haven’t tried them before. Great video and looks like an amazing trip. Thanks for sharing with us.

One thing I find helps with my chronically cold feed is carrying some of those hand/feet warmer packs and when I get to my glassing spot I loosen my boots all the way and take them off. Put the boot warmers in the toes and slip them on loosely. I can sit for hours that way. This is another great video. Well done 👍
@skyedge6158 Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the tip! I think you're correct that they will work if you loosen your boots all the way off. Otherwise I've found that they suffocate and don't function properly. Thanks for watching

Very special place, was able to get a bull with my bow in September in there. Do you guys think you hit the first bull that was shot at?
@skyedge6158 Жыл бұрын
We do believe the first bull was hit..and after an exhaustive search we moved on. Too much new snow and too many other track in the mix, did not allow us to find him. Upsetting but that's hunting sometimes

Great video ! What dates did you hunt? I just moved from northern B.C. to northern Alberta. I was a bit bummed out leaving my beautiful BC behind , but was quickly humbled by how amazing and different the hunting is in Alberta. I love it here so far. I was able to harvest a beautiful 5x5 whitetail buck last weekend with a absolute giant of a body. Congrats on the hunt, I hope to hunt down south there in the next couple years looks amazing.

Congrats gents. Was a tough one in southern Alberta this Nov. Ppl underestimate how much work it is doing anything in all that snow. Kicked my ass for 6 days. Love that place. Got chased outta there by a Griz bow hunting few years back. Not many places like it left in this part of the province. Just beautiful country.

question. how does traveling with a firearm work, like bc and alberta ? btw love your vids keep it up!
@skyedge6158 Жыл бұрын
Good question. If travelling by air, you are required to have your firearm trigger locked, stored in a locked case. Ammo must also be stored in a second locked case. Both are considered checked baggage and you will need to fill out a declaration form at the airport. Leave yourself lots of extra time for this before your flight just Incase. Other than that it was actually pretty straight forward. Hope this helps. Thanks

What boots are you wearing? It’s so darn hard to have warm feet but not sweaty feet in the back country.
@skyedge6158 Жыл бұрын
@@caninphx I took my scarpa kenesis boots which are great mountain boots except I not yet tested them in cold weather... That was my mistake. They are a great early season boot but didn't quite cut it in those conditions
@caninphx Жыл бұрын
@@skyedge6158 yeah it’s tough to have boots that are comfy, warm and you don’t sweat to to death in in the back country especially on multi day trips as they accumulate sweat and don’t dry out easily.
