Great video guys! Excellent review. The part where you pulled out the hockey glove just made me giggle. You should do a "how to" video on different larp combat styles.

I actually don't have much experience outside of light-touch games. I've been planning on interviewing people who *do* have that kind of experience though. Those hockey gloves are my father-in-laws apparently haha!

@@breakingcharacterlarp8236 that would be interesting to watch and hear their perspective for sure! For myself i only have experience with light touch combat as a zombie in HvZ. Mostly knife work though 😉

Epic Armory puts out quality gear. It is difficult to judge sizes based on our 'Murican LARP systems.

haha! Before I purchased this one, I took an old PVC pipe, cut it to the exact measurement to see if I liked the length or not. The things we do for LARP

Looks really good but I live in quebec so I dont really have any reason not to buy from calimacil. Their shipping is much less and shipping times much shorter than the american manufacturers. I dont see many people in my local larps using something other than handmade boffers or calimacil's.

They have an in-person store in Quebec right? When it's possible to travel safely, I want to make a pilgrimage up there! I've seen a few of their latex weapons, they're great quality as well!

@@breakingcharacterlarp8236 I believe Epic Armory has a Canadian distributor as well. I have had trouble with calimacil for light touch games because they were often too dense. This was a ways back however.

I have fought against these types of weapons before and my only complaint would be that the stabbing tip is too long. meaning it folds over too easily. This is a problem because if I bloke a strike from this cutlass the tip will swing down and hit me anyways. Another bit is this extra tip makes it likely to tear more easily due to the extra material bending at an angle it wasn't meant to be.

Ohh, that's a concern I've never thought about. So even if you don't stab, their can be damage to the tip due to its length. I'll have to keep this in mind next time. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah when i bought mine i got 2 & one of them had folded over during the delivery. Apart from that it's a lovely weapon. I practice HEMA as opposed to LARPing & i have used them occasionally for some impromptu no kit sparring as you have no need of any protective gear with them.
