Great to see you settling in in Switzerland again after your great traveling adventures. The advantage of living in a small country like Switzerland: It's never far to get over the border and enjoy the culinary delights of one of the neighboring countries (best with France and Italy, of course!). My suggestion for your next trip: Take the train to Domodossola (you only need to change once in Visp or Brig) and enjoy one of the best Italian gelato in the Gelateria Amarena at the market square - try their pistachio!
@GrowingUpWithoutBorders2 ай бұрын
Oh yes!!! We've done that before. It's amazing how you can drive only a few short hours and the food it completely different in the grocery stores and of course the delicious gelatos!!! You can't find anything like it other than in Italy. I mean whist traveling that is....in Montreux they do serve nice Italian gelato but it's 4 euros for a little scope unlike Italy where you can still find it for 1 euro.

Pretty and idealistic looking places.. But i wonder if people are under a lot of pressure to maintain the perfect house.. The perfect look.. The perfect image.. I imagine some Swiss people might want to escape for a time and live in a far more ""casual"" country for a while to escape the stress??? Maybe? Anyway another great video.. Well produced as usual..
@GrowingUpWithoutBorders2 ай бұрын
Thanks! That's an interesting comment. You definitely have countries where everything is WAY more relaxed.
@Rimrock3002 ай бұрын
I will guess most swiss home owners don't feel any particual pressure regarding keeping things nice and tidy, following city regulations. What we as foreginers think of as 'perfect look & perfect image' is just the norm to the swiss, what they have been growing up with and how they like things to be. I guess more foreginers moving to Switzerland will feel some stress and pressure, than swiss locals) From what I understand, the French part of Switzerland, like Lake Geneva region, is the 'relaxed' part of the country, and likely the Italian part even more so) Maybe some people from the German part of the country seeks to south and west parts for a bit more 'relaxed' lifestyle)

Do Canadians say Zee or Zed?? For the letter Z. 😂❤
@GrowingUpWithoutBorders2 ай бұрын
Good question. I think we learn it as Zed but we say both….i think. It’s hard since we’ve lived in so many places we say zee. I might have it the wrong way around. I can’t remember. 🤷♀️🤪

The beauty of the EU is its open borders. They make people so much freer and more independent.
