These guys are both masters of “the tuck”, when you tuck in behind the soloist and lay a nice soft bed of chords to play over without taking away from the focal point. So many players play at full volume and dynamics behind the soloist or vocalist. Aside from that, their touch and tone are phenomenal. Great video.

💡 This format is great. I could do 1-3 hours of this regularly. Just players playing and talking and hanging out with some natural ratio of jam : discussion that might vary each episode. Long form is extremely underrated, and underutilized, even though everybody knows what it means. Even edited is fine, as long as there is the time to let things develop. I really liked these guys not simply referring to musicians, licks, ideas, like a label that everyone in the audience is supposed to act like they know and it gets diluted as in each generation of 🦜 They mentioned something and then played with it and talked about it and there was no leaning on labeling. Anyway, great episode and I hope you do MORE like this! Thanks 👍👍
