Montenegro is gorgeous! I have a question, if you don’t mind, did you stay in Kotor the entire month? We are planning to travel long term soon & Montenegro is on the list, but we can’t decide if we should stay there the entire month and then take day trips to the surrounding areas. Thank you!

Hi! We did stay in Kotor for the month as our 'home base'. We decided on Kotor, but Budva is another great option for a long stay base if you like bigger cities. Budva is still small by most standards. We also rented a car for two weeks of our month long stay which I suggest to get around. Just be prepared to get pulled over at check points. The only time we stayed anywhere else in the country was in Zabljak outside of Durmitor National Park, which I highly recommend. We made a playlist with all of our Montenegro videos which may help you plan some. If you like wine, Savina Winery is a MUST! There are a lot great things to do. @love hi! We already visited Montenegro last Spring, in April. We spent an entire month traveling around your beautiful country…can’t wait to go back on day. The bay of Kotor is just breathtaking 😍 thank you for your advice, Budva, Lake Skadar, Tivat, Herceg Novi…all those are must visit areas for sure :)
