On house shots you can hook it into the 7 on lowball and pick it off If you ever play for money it’s good to have the pick 7 in the bag and the house shot tracks to it nicely. On sport shots obviously you would have to throw straight

You should play if you get 4 or less in a frame its -10 to your score at the end (lowball) Really encourages skill shots and makes it harder to shut opponent out! You’re always in it Best score possible would be 20 minus 100 (negative 80)

I can't believe that Jos has never heard of low ball. Low ball should be a part of everyone's practice sessions. Low ball is played by taking out just the 7 or 10 pin on the first ball and then taking out whichever pin is still remaining after your first ball. a perfect game is 2 pins every frame for a perfect score of 20 at the end of 10 frames. The objective is to only take out the 7 and the 10 pins in every frame. You can throw at which ever one you want first just make sure you only take out that one pin on each ball. The game of low ball is used as a practice game to bring your accuracy level up when you're shooting your spares and for being more accurate at hitting your strike mark on the lane and or for other types of spares. Being able to hit your mark to hit only the 7 or 10 pin consistently requires a lot of precision and accuracy especially when you have a full rack starring you down so to speak LOL. I never done the Hi/Low game before but I've heard of it just never done it. Looks like something by bowling buddies may have to try out and see how well we can do. If you pick off the ten you can take out the 6-9 for a 3count there at the end Don’t need to pick the 7 on second shot

On longer patterns - you should reduce the ball speed to allow the ball to do the work instead of forcing it.

Interesting game. I've heard of hi-lo but never knew how it is scored. Never expected to watch the full video but it was too intriguing to turn it off. Jos, you have an interesting "hitch" (a hesitation) in your delivery as you step off the line. Did you build that in intentionally? I'm curious about it.

I did the low ball challenge today 12-24-23 when you double your low ball score then take that amount from the actual game WONT & CAN'T work: its good to bowl the actual score & do the low ball score but you CAN'T subtract the doubled low ball score it can NEVER work out for the higher actual score person. I bowled a 213 as my actual score then I bowled a straight ball score of 150. if you subtract a doubled low ball score from actual score the LOWER the actual score the BETTER so Josh went into the low ball game already 15 pins down because he won actual score by 15. Josh =193, Brady = 178. the worst you bowl in low ball the better in that case (throw all gutter balls to subtract 300 from actual score) the best low ball score would be 20 no one would want 20 because they would lose. if I used my low score of 150 & subtract the low ball score I had 68 X 2 = 136 - 150 = 14. if I used my way better score of 213 - the doubled low ball score of 136 = 213-136= 77. in my foundation 9th frame I throw a gutter then got 6 on my next ball. I don't know how you add that up but it don't matter because whoever bowls the lowest actual score & bowls the highest low ball score will win wen you subtract the doubled low ball score because it CAN'T work doing it that way. really Josh won the actual score & you Brady won the low ball score. you can't subtract the low ball score from actual score because the WORST bowler will win (throw the ball in the gutter for the highest subtraction amount). I wanted to see if I could take out the 7 then the 10 I guess I was too afraid of the gutter to really do it. I'll be uploading my Brady McDonough challenge video on 12-27-23 because with videos I need to go to a high speed wifi to do it. I'll send you the link after I download it. I have 206 marathon bowling videos on my Rumble account. my highest game amount bowling marathon video is 102 games straight this summer. most of them are 50 games straight this 2023 summer, last summer 2022 they are 30 games straight & 2021 are 30 games straight. I think you misunderstood the point of the video. It’s whoever has the higher score at the end. Josh was up 15, not down 15.

This Hi Low game is confusing to me? what is the BEST game? 1 pin each time you throw the ball? if 1 pin each time is all you need to get the high game then why don't you take out the corner pins each time say the 10 the first throw then the 7 the next throw? I've never played bowling like that but I bet I could take out the 10 the first throw then the 7 the second throw most of the time without taking any other pin out with either the 7 or the 10. I would NOT use a hook ball but the straight ball only. Id use a really light ball too like either a 10lb or an 8 lb ball. the ONLY reason ALL pros throw the hook ball is for the right angle close to the pins that you can't get with the straight ball. you have a 4 times greater chance to strike with the hook ball over the best thrown straight ball from the foul line. its because of the oil line is from 15 to 25 feet from the pins. right after the oil line is when the hook ball hooks in where as a straight ball angle is from the foul line & is why the hook ball has a 4 times greater chance of a strike then the BEST thrown straight ball from the foul line. oil changes NOTHING to a straight ball! dry lanes changes NOTHING to a straight ball. Packy Hanrahan & Darren Tang prove it on there videos. the Robot arm guy proved the hook ball has a 4 times greater chance of striking over the best straight ball. Tom Funkel on youtube is the Robot arm guy. this is why after me throwing a straight ball for the past 3 years went to the hook ball this season & I have already went above the 165 or highest avg I could carry for the past 3 years. NOW I carry 169 & just started on a new league with a 190 avg. hook for the strike then straight ball for the pick up. unless its an easy 7 pin then I throw 1 to 3 boards from the right & have the hook ball hook over to the 7 using nearly all 39 boards just for fun or I'll use the straight ball on the 7. if its the 10 pin I always use the straight ball. end over end the straight ball or slight back up on it.

I guess high score wins in low ball? I made a video when I upload it to my Rumble account I'll send the link. right now I'm trying to understand who wins? low ball score I had 68 but I had a first ball gutter in my 9th frame then got 6: gutter - then 6 how much is that? 10? or 10 plus the next ball? my 10th frame 4 then 2. if its 10 plus the next ball then I had 4 for the 10th frame next ball so 14? if it was 14 instead of 6 then the 9th from plus the 6 = 62, but if its 14-6 that was added =plus 8 so 9th frame point count with added 8 pins would be 70 in the 9th then 4 then 2 in the 10th = 76 X2 152 my actual real game was a 213 - 152= 61 with the doubled low ball score subtracted. I think I understand now. high low ball score after the doubled low ball is subtracts. so I guess I won by 20 then RIGHT? both actual score 213 then low ball high score left of 61. it that's correct then egnor the last comment cuz now I understand how to score both games into each other YES that will work then.

I am going to start a new way to bowl where only the 7 & the 10 pin count. you must hit only the 10 to get 15 points on your first ball then on your 2nd ball you must get only the 7 pin to get 15 point so you can get a 300 for the 10 frames. if you throw a gutter you get zero points if you take out hit any other pin when you take out the 10 pin you get zero points. if you hit any other pin when you take out the 7 pin you get zero points. so far I have taken out just the 7 pin in a game. I have taken out the 10 pin only 4 times with 2 times in a row once for 2 frames together. its to practice my str8 ball control to far left & far right. today is 12-28-23 I have done 3 games so far this way of bowling. Im the Brooklyn Crusher. you have ONLY 1.75 or 1 & 3/4th inches of room without hitting the 10 only from the 6 pin & the same with the 7 pin only from the 4 pin = 1 & 3/4th inch only each side.
