Epic Chimpanzee Fight! Alpha Goes On The Attack With A Stick!

Eric goes wild at Chester Zoo, Large Newly Dominant Male Chimp Carlos is well known
for picking up tree branches and waving them around but also in this video Dylan can be seen
standing up to Carlos and backing him away which has been unusual lately.
Carlos is an 18 year old Male and has been challenging Dylan for dominance for many months, interestingly at the moment it seems Both Dylan and Carlos have settled into shared dominance roles, with both chimps displaying dominance behaviours around the females and chimp displays. Chester Zoo chimp troop.

Yes it was Eric :) It’s unusual for him but he is getting bigger. It’s getting harder to tell him and Carlos apart!

I think an epic fight is coming soon between Carlos and Dylan. Usually two dominant males trying to be Alpha does not end well. In the wild, it usually means someone is never seen again.

Alice is gigantic, she's as big, if not bigger, than some adult males!!! Does anyone know why she seems to always be a target of attacks for some reason despite her large posture? She didn't do anyhting here to get provoked in such a manner lol
