"Even the 4runner made it down without any issues". Man the disrespect on 4runners offroad capabilities is strong in that quote.
@barelymadeit8 ай бұрын
We had a 4runner, no hate at all. But i do know what they are capable of and what limits they have. If he took our same line there would have been all kinds of crazy wheel lift. His was on a long travel kit as well. It absolutly shows how no matter the vehicle the wrong line (like ours) can make a huge difference. But without the long travel kit he had, he probably would have scrapped the whole way down. We saw a big group of tacos and FJs on the trail that day, but they all king long travel setups.

Great video...definitely putting these 2 trails on my list & thanks for the suggestion on which direction to run them...I was in CO last week and ran the MSV & Coney Flats (which isn't so flat 🤣) trails....Coney was for sure a bouncy trail....although not as crazy as Eagle Rock near Colorado Springs....Keep up the vids!!!

I finally figured out how to watch these on my 65 inch in the bedroom Mileah and I caught up on several she was amazed at the views. And I gotta tell you it's so nice to watch on the big screen instead of being in the passenger seat with death 7 inches away. Love the shows and love doing it live even more. At my age a quick death is preferable anyway. Love the shows Dad

Great photography, good pacing. Loved the information you provide. My only gripe, and the reason I decided to comment: off-roaders complaining about rocky roads…. 🤦🏼

Haha I appreciate your comment! And i absolutly know what youre saying. It sounds stupid, but there are some parts that just suck ass and after an hour of the same bumpy section it gets to be a little much. But youre absolutly right.

True...IFS just doesn't cut it, despite what ZR2 & Bronco owners say. BTW, I would have moved that rock (13:43) out of the way, not just for me but for future drivers in this same spot. I carry a couple of Silky hand-saws for the same reason (removing small downed trees/low-limbs). "Jeep Wave" (I have one, too!) -- BR

what are your top 5 trails in Colorado
@barelymadeit6 ай бұрын
This is a great question. As of now id say. 1. Black Bear 2. Pearl (I think Schofield might be 2 but we are doing it next week) 3. Imogen (might reverse 2/3 these they are close) 4. Wheeler Lake 5. Redcone 6. Engineer Idk though, the order is very subjective. These are probably my all time most beautiful though.
@rickhollman40406 ай бұрын
@@barelymadeit Thanks for the reply, I like your choices, I did not see in any of your videos your experience with Black Bear. Of those listed above, so far I have only done Engineer, but we have plans to do Pearl, Schofield, Imogene, so is very helpful to see your videos in advance as it helps me to pick which trails I want to do (there are so many trails in Colorado), thank you again for your videos😃
@barelymadeit6 ай бұрын
@@rickhollman4040 Absolutely! The problem with BlackBear is that we did it in a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk back in 2016 and Christian got out and cried the whole time because she for sure thought I was going to die. SOOO.... since then it's a a trail she has put on the NEVER AGAIN list. But we are going back to Ouray for the weekend after July 4th and if it's open I may be able to convince her to run it again. It's stunning, but absolutely terrifying in some ways. Personally I think Moab trails are scarier, but BB is up there. Mainly "The Steps" going down into Telluride.
@rickhollman40406 ай бұрын
@@barelymadeit Well... at least you have a wife that wants to keep her husband alive, I am going to try not to laugh because my wife did get out of the vehicle the first time in Moab saying she "just wanted to be rescued" and i had to explain there is no helicopter, any rescue team would come in a side by side like the one we already had, best wishes on Black Bear (if it opens to the public again)
