As far as I know the difference is quite obvious because maple has a much tighter and denser grain than rosewood. You can really feel the grain on a rosewood where as a maple feels more smooth. (not that rosewood isn't smooth but you know what I mean)

That opening solo... God DAMN Rabea! Some of the tastiest playing I've ever heard from the Afro-Djent, which really is saying something! Not familiar with the new guy's previous work, but he seems a pleasant dude with the chops to keep up with the existing team, and I'm sure will quickly settle in. If I can offer him one tip, it's that when he's excited his voice goes up in pitch, volume and speed - key, I think, to the success of this channel is that the mood is very laid-back. What we don't need is another manic Chappers.
