I got to share this. My dad's an atheist always has been. In January he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. So, ever since then, i've been praying for him that he'd be healed and that he gets saved. Yesterday, i got baptized and he came with my stepmother. i was not expecting that at all because my dad always had a hardened heart towards the church. Before my baptism, i gave my testimony on how i came to know Christ and he sobbed. It really touched him. The whole church was touched by it. I know that God is softening his heart and i pray that he continues to so and that he gets saved one day. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Only he has the power to soften the hardest of hearts.

@INeed94Cents
@INeed94Cents 3 жыл бұрын
@@jstan5802 yeah. I get the feeling they don't use any footage where the atheists are able defend their points or express them properly. In one video he asked multiple atheists for examples of organisms turning into different "kinds" to support the theory of evolution. A man gave an example of a bacteria that was placed in an artificial controlled environment in a lab. The bacteria had evolved to move faster and specialize in consuming the chemicals in the environment more efficiently. But this some how didn't classify as evidence because it was still bacteria and it didn't turn into a different "kind"(he said he didn't mean species but like dogs to cats crap like that). It was as if he didn't understand that the "kinds" are just classifications made by humans and that "kinds" is so ill defined that one could say that elephants and hippos are the same kind of animal and that they are different kinds of animals. He purposely avoided using preside words like species as it would make his questions possible to answer.
@jstan5802
@jstan5802 3 жыл бұрын
@@INeed94Cents Indeed, and sadly he has many followers that seemed to think the same too. After watching a few of his videos he appeared to totally ignore any arguments that opposes his and will just keep repeating the same speech. He also like to cherry pick footage and edit it out of context to further his agenda. I'm generally not against any religion but this guy pisses me off.

@ElenaLopez-jk7dq 5 жыл бұрын
Joshua Neal swimming across the ocean in one day is not the same as believing someone exists, it’s irrelevant. The whole universe speaks about a God, I might not have seen God but the universe reminds me of him and that he exists every single day. Jus by looking at my own face and body reminds me of the beautiful works of God and how he created me in a perfect way, and I am NOT talking about looks, I’m talking about how my body works and how I was able to carry a child in my body and how he created my body in a way in which I can create another human being.

@@hbenny5752 yeah but this evangelist guy definitely is not skilled enough in this debate to provide a convincing argument. My walk with God has been anything but blind faith. And I have multiple experiences and realizations that reinforce this. I'm going to school for biomedical engineering so I guess you could say I'm like a scientist & I 100٪ agree with the old guy at times. You need better data points and facts to compete with his standpoint. He even gave u a hint but u are just undereducated in this regard. He said he is amazed at how orderly it is, Referring to astronomy and celestial proportions. If you knew some of the math behind how the moon is Tidal locked to earth and perfectly eclipses the sun(which is EXTREMLY RARE). And then you start to uncover the distance from the sun and how our calander and time and shapes are all linked. you get into sacred geometry or the math of God. When you start to learn this The probability of this all being just by chance is like 1/100000000000000. At that point it is unscientific for him to make the conclusion we are here by coincidence.

@Mokie 1q Is not a joke. When the Lord says no one can come to me unless the Father draws them. The Father draws them through the preaching of the gospel. Faith comes by hearing the message of the gospel preached. How else would someone believe or call upon Him whom they have not heard. If someone is sincere and is willing to pray the sinners prayer, that's evidence that God has been working in their lives to lead them to the prayer. But since we're moral creatures with free will there is consequences in Sin. One way is people can grow obstinate and have a harden heart as a rock that only God can break in order to humble the person to make them realize that they're in need of a savior. Another is If a person keeps being obstinate now matter how many times they were witnessed to then God will also let him continue being obstinate. Sin is what blinds people and binds them in their pleasures and are enslaved by their own dictates in their hearts which would ultimately be the cause of them not wanting to pray the sinners prayer.

Trust & believe, most people don't wanna hear that mess, unless of course they agree. No one wants to listen to all that preaching. I know I dont. Christians know without a doubt that Jesus don't exsists. I do believe there is a creator but, it's not him. It's obvious that whomever wrote the bible was mentally ill. It doesn't make any sense. Especially Revalations, it's just crazy. A person can be dillusional & convince themselves to believe because they feel they need someone to be their hero. I feel strength overrides that. I've had many problems when I was younger, I prayed & prayed to God about those problems & he did nothing. We have a invisible diety asking a great deal of us. He's intending on punishing us unrealistically for breaking some ridiculous rules. We're all human & a lot of those rules are unnecessary. He never lived a human existence. If he had, he would have broken those rules as well. Christians speak of Jesus being perfect. He's not even smart. If he were he wouldn't ask this nonsense of us. If Christians were truly smart, they wouldn't even believe in him. Wouldn't even give him credit like they do for crap he never did. I just hate to see people submitting to ignorance. I will not submit to being stupid against my will & intelligence just because Jesus threatened us. I only stand for what I believe in.

@wogeibe
@wogeibe 4 жыл бұрын
Richard Dawkins once said that even if a 100ft. Jesus appeared to him, he still doesn't think he would believe in him. If you want proof of Christianity, you would first have to decide what would constitute as proof beforehand. If you can't define exactly what proof is, it's unlikely you'll recognize it when you see it. When I was a new Christian, I had warts all over my writing hand. I sold hunting licenses at the time and had to write out each one I sold and every customer could see all the warts on my hand when I wrote. I had them burned off, frozen off and tried other methods but they always just grew right back. I decided that since I was a Christian now, I should just pray and believe God would remove them by a miracle. One of my coworkers who acted like she was my older sister told me that it was reckless to think like that and I should go to the doctor again. A big part of me had trouble believing that the warts were just going to miraculously disappear after having them for so long. I thought it was so unlikely that it could happen that I told myself in my heart that if God did remove the warts, I would never doubt him again. A few weeks went by and nothing happened. I was pretty embarrassed by the warts and wanted them gone, so I decided to give God one more chance. I prayed before I went to bed and basically told God I would give him a couple more days to remove the warts or I was going to the doctor, but I thought it was better if he healed them and showed my coworker I wasn't foolish for trusting in him. The next morning I woke up and did my normal morning routine and forgot about the warts. As I was reaching into the silverware drawer, I saw the back of my hand and the warts on my hand appeared to be smaller. I wasn't sure if it was just my imagination or not so I decided to ignore it. Later on that day, I looked at my hand again and decided the warts were definitely smaller. By the end of the next day, they had all shrunk and disappeared. They were all gone, and within the exact time limit I had asked for. I was stunned. It almost didn't feel real. A few days later, I was cutting open a box at work and my coworker spied my hand. She walked closer and fastened her eyes on my hand until she asked the obvious question: "what happened to your warts?" I replied, "I told you God was going to heal them." She just kind of shook her head and walked away like she didn't know what to say. The point of the story is that even though I said to myself beforehand that this miracle would be enough proof for me to never doubt again, that wasn't the case. It was so unexpected, I had a hard time even wrapping my head around it. What did happen though is that despite any reservations I still ended up holding in the future, I continued to move forward with and acted out my faith as though it was true, which is what is required of us. I asked God for something specific and he gave it to me and so now I was obligated to do my part. Even if you don't believe in God, humble yourself and ask him to reveal himself to you in a way that is reasonable and would obligate you to follow him from that time forth and see what happens. If it doesn't work right away, be patient and try humbling yourself more and maybe even give up a few vices as a worthy sacrifice. Ask and shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.

@@brianwalley2131 Godsaidmansaid.com puts out a new article every week if that's your thing. There's guaranteed to be stuff on there you have never seen before if you feel like digging through the mountain of information. I know because I helped research and write some of them and nobody else had the information. It consumed years of mine and others life studying and collating all this information. I did one about what the Bible says about mold and found that what OSHA & modern mold remediation companies say on how to deal with mold is identical to what the Bible says. It was essentially word for word the same, even unto the amount of time they were to wait in between checks. The article is called, The Mold Epidemic and God's Perfect Prescription. There is one I also did a few years back about how the evidence shows all living things are devolving towards eventual extinction and not evolving into something better. It's called, Dangerous Devolution at the Door parts 1 & 2. I actually met the Cornell University professor I quote in the article shortly after it was published and he was interested in reading the other information I had found. There is also another one I did that I think is pretty interesting concerning the prophecy of the 70 weeks mentioned in the book of Daniel. This information is more well known but I think it's pretty amazing that the Bible prophesies the exact year Jesus would suffer and die hundreds of years before it happened. Its called, The Seventy Weeks of Daniel and the Mystery of the Messiah. Anyways, those are just some of the ones I happened to have worked on. There are close to 1,000 articles on their total. I have seen people lose faith in God despite having witnessed or have been very close to someone who witnessed undeniable miracles. That's why I'm skeptical that many athiests will be convinced by any amount of logic or evidence. If people won't be convinced by miracles they have seen with their own eyes or the eyes of someone they otherwise trust, why would they believe them from a book written thousands of years ago by people they never met? If you were in the church for many years as you say, are you telling me you have never witnessed or talked to someone you trust who witnessed a miracle?

@@User-fp8dk Hello my dear friend, I respect your way of thinking and the dedication you give to the force that you believe made this beautiful and vast universe we live in, but remember that it’s never to late to accept that science is also something credible and that supernatural mythology is just an archaic way to explain what we have yet to discover and to make us accept death easily. Maybe there’s a god, maybe there isn’t, maybe it’s just all a dream, or a dimension made by aliens, a simulation on a computer, who knows? Nobody is 100% sure, atheists, christians, muslins or jews, but one thing we can agree, we all want to know the truth! We should not blindly believe in our own religion even if we have enough reasons to personally believe in it, if someone wants to approach that topic in a more logic path it is completely normal for that person to not believe in a supernatural magical invisible creature that lives with ghosts in the clouds and that started the universe for no reason at all. The bible is just a book and christianity is just one of many ways to find a logic for life and for the universe, you can have your own believes but please don’t enforce your theory on other people. By the end of the day christianity is as much of a theory as the big bang, both can’t prove god and both make sense for a large number of people. You can agree in what the bible says but you also got to agree that historians and scientists are people that just like you are trying to find the truth based on facts, after thousands of years we have yet to find out what that truth really is. Have a nice and bright day, if god does indeed exist and if he does indeed love us he will forgive us all and we will live happy forever after, until then there’s no perfect way to know what is true or not.

You don't consider miracles to mean the exact same thing as magic. It's the suspension of physical laws and reality as we know it. A magical god can literally explain everything without explaining anything at all. It is not my fault you don't know that there is little difference between magic and god. When we were ancient we did not have the technology we have today that allows us to peer inside the heart of a star to traverse the landscapes of atomic structures to understand bacteria. Ancient man explained his world the only way he could and magic played a big role in that. My only mistake when talking to theist is that I assume we live in the same reality as everyone else a reality where people don't encounter demons a reality where giants don't roam the earth and ghost and gooblin don't run amuck. But you do believe in these things even though they are not real and only exist in ones head. You live in a reality in which you made up yourself. A world of make believe. I live in reality where people do bad things as well as good things no evil spirits or friendly ghost necessary. A world where man makes the decisions on what is built and what is destroyed. To the theist these truths are not enough you must appoint supernatural agency to everything with no real reason why.

Even if I entirely ignored the fallacies in this argument and accepted it as truth, you also must realize that this is an completely non specific argument. It can also apply to any possible derivative god. It can also explain everything an atheist believes (by saying the first unmoved mover was the universe itself). @@Kwispyee I understand what you're saying. I grew up in the catholic church but I didn't resonate with it at all. I sought after the truth and found the Lord much later in life. I was humbled greatly by Him and finally surrendered. The reason I'm saying pride is because we all know that God exists. It's written in our DNA and we deny that simple truth. I'm not speaking of religion either, God wants a personal relationship with all of us. :)

Every atheists want to know about God through facts and not feelings or faith, that is what makes them difficult to believe. How tragic.

This shows how moronic it is to have faith. Discard your critical faculties and just wing it with your feelings. What a joke.

My “proof” of god is what god personally gave me to experience. Which I am grateful for, it’s very beautiful. My experience will differ from everyone else journey here. But we all have different stories to tell for a reason.

Poor guy. My questions is how is he a scientist, yet doesn’t realize we can use logic and conclude that God exists? 😕 Doesn’t make much sense.

40% of all scientists pray to a god. Now, I don't usually enjoy using statistics, because they're usually inaccurate, but I think that one gives us an idea of the real number, so stick with me. The logic you use is the bible, and he just doesn't believe in the bible, so he and I both believe that you are using logic, just flawed logic, consisting of mostly fallicies.
