Now you can use the tappers to collect organic and make this fully automated and self contained.

You could automate the collection of bio element using a trade plataform to get organic, using astronium turning it into scrap and then trading the scrap for organic (it will produce A LOT of organic) with that ammount you could make a generator zone to deliver the excess and no joke, you can produce over 100U/s and still having profit

That's a valid alternative, but you will still need to bring something (Astronium). Even auto extractors will eventually stop working. So I preferred to simplify with soil. Good comment though🚀

You can get astronium from a sturdy squash farm. (or a shell farm as they respawn)

I farm Astronium with 30+ Extractors, transport it automatically into the base, convert it etc...For every reset, I get ca. 3k Astronium, that get traded for 6k boosters, shredded into 9k scrap, traded into (am not sure here, if you get 4 or 8 per scrap, thinking 8) 72k organic...enough for quite some hours^^

Another way to get the carbon is to have a plant that when tapped gives organic, then put a tappet on the plat, use an auto arm to out the organic into a smelting furnace. Now you have infinite carbon!

I think that providing less power to the Atmo Condenser is a better idea Although it will take longer to produce each canister, each one holds 5 units of gas. With the explosives powder needing 1 unit of Sulfur and 2 units of Organic Smelted to Carbon, In the production of EP, 1 canister of Sulfur is equal to 10 units of Organic/Carbon. Reducing the speed of the production of Sulfur would help to reduce (if not eliminate) the problem with the imbalance of units to the Chem Lab storage.

Good vid, train platforms would make that even faster as they share resources between each other so no need for auto arms and you can have 2 chemistry stations and export to a large silo in explosive powder to export off planet if needed. Would be cool to see a vid covering using train rail car platforms for automation as im not seeing that covered much

You unlock it after the endgame cutscene finishes, which is obtained by activating all engines, then getting a triptych from each planet, placing them on their respective slots on the unknown satellite and going through the gateway portal. Also I believe you need to be online
