While the shards was insane I think that skarbrand duel vs N’kari was truly the nail in the coffin. Kinda looked like a desperation play trying to get N’Kari off the field and just resulted in skarbrand being isolated in an already pretty dicey 1v1 then surrounded by fiends. Had skarbrand stayed in the blob and forced N’kari or even the fiends in and trapped them with the berserk I think the game would have gone to khorne. Excellent game and commentary though.

@@RobRIPDG pretty sure that was N’kari’s doing. He can debuff a single entity’s combat stats to near pitiful levels, even with all of skarbrand’s power even he doesn’t really stand a chance. When it comes to 1v1 character duels N’kari is easily the best in the game.

A few things about Slaanesh chariots, They are the only chariots to have enough mass and speed where if given an attack order on most Infantry they will charge through and continue to cycle charge them a few times. From my testing other chariots do "ok" when paired with an Exalted Seeker Chariot but if given an attack order on the same unit they will need to be manually pulled through.

I just love how CA made the greater daemons really scary stat wise. As they should be. It’s gonna be so fun once immortal empires comes out and see all these greater Daemons be an actual threat playing on both sides

Same, I played Slaanesh first and playing as N'kari nothing felt like a real threat, you were unstoppable with so much mobility and only Skarbrand came close. Come later playing Kislev and I felt so vulnerable and facing the daemons were scary, let alone the imagination of Skarbrand, N'kari or any of the Exalted coming at you. It was a good feeling though, since I love the Daemons of Chaos and they should feel like a genuine real threat. It'll be so fun to see them in immortal empire and hopefully the chaos invasion gets updated with daemon armies as well with greater daemons and such. That'll be awesome!

That still seemed like a lot of blobbing for Slaanesh? Too many full frontal thrusts, not enough assaulting from behind. Although, like you said, the one side was pretty much blocked. AOE drain still one of the best mechanics though!

I feel like there’s a lot of pathfinding issues with the AI in Warhammer 3, from the time I put in it feels like my units get bogged down after charging into the enemies more than I have with Warhammer.

AoE drain is very very overused now. It makes sense on the big slow Mortis Engine, but a lot less sense on a 100 speed units against zero missile pressure.

Something I've been noticing that I saw again in this video is that I see large single entities do their charge animation and completely miss stationary infantry. at 14:02 you can see it. I've experienced this with nearly every single entity unit and I'm not sure what's causing it, I was wondering if anyone else ran into it?

That Exalted Seeker Chariot got less than 1000 damage value, even though it survived the whole battle. I definitely expected more, but maybe I'm overestimating how well it should do? Brilliant battle, N'Kari is definitely my favourite new lord! What a beast!

Considering the dps that the rest of the roster can unleash, this thing should be mulching infantry and spitting bloody chunks out the back like a daemonic lawnmower. 1k on something that expensive is pitiful for a Slaaneshi army.

I found exalted daemonettes to be some of the most useful units. If you micro them right and swarm isolated units, they shred everything.

As a Slaanesh TT fan, I'm so happy seeing the faction in-game and being this awesome. A lot of finesse and micro, something I wanna learn but I doubt I'll ever be as good as any top players who make watching a Slaanesh army fight an artform! Loving the 2v2, always enjoyed them more than 1v1 as it offers for a wider range in the roster to be used, bigger more epic battles and I've always enjoyed the cooperative nature between the two players!

The reason you see these damage values I think is because these is very little lord sniping potential at this point. Several factions have little or no missile pressure and single target margic damage is nerfed. That lets lords go a lot more crazy than we're used to.

I dont understand why the Khorne player isolated scarbrand like that. Just keep him in the blob and as soon as slaneesh charges in pop the rampage and win the game. but scarbrand completly stood out of position outside of the army and then charged when he can be easily surrounded.

Khorne basically lost when 60% of his remaining army was wiped by those slicing shards. He had no mobility left so it was just gonna be a slow death from cycle charges. The only way khorne couldve won was if nkari was lord sniped. Skarbrand had Nkari 1 or 2 hits away from death but he ended up missing his critical swings cuz he simped a little too hard.

Its a faction that is way stronger when a player controls it than cpu, making best use of mobility and charge/flanking bonuses. I honestly think they are a little too strong as it stands.

I like that CA embraced their inner Blizzard and created one faction that has such a high skill ceiling, new players can't use them and veteran players can do DISGUSTING things with them. But they balanced that with a literal Protoss shield faction with cheap units that can be forgotten about and still add value in a fight.

I think and this is just a theory but what’s happening with the chariots is they pinball infantry so much they don’t ever get attacks off. You’ll notice that other chariots like the bear cav ones have “on collision” damage. I think if they let slaanesh chariots do “on collision” dmg then that might help in the short term. I mean honestly I don’t see why they wouldn’t. The idea here is a fast lightly armored chariot that’s a giant lawnmower. It shouldn’t stop to fight but keep moving. Basically encouraging mowing through more troops in the period where the charge bonus is active (hit the formation length wise) promoting active micro. It also seems like chariots are supposed to be the answer to Khorne heavy infantry but it doesn’t seem they play that role?

I legit gasped at 17:15 when Skarbrand just barely caught ya boi with that attack, but man the turnaround was crazy! I've noticed that Skarbrand isn't quite the same level of unstopppable juggernaut that Kholek was, sure he can totally solo armies of infantry, but the lack of anti large when dueling other SEMs can be painful

Haven't played Khorne yet, are the dual wield Khornate warriors better at mulching Slaanesh than the bloodletters? I'm curious if the magic attacks on the bloodletters would work better against the physical resist daemons get. Khorne warriors are probably more durable than bloodletters against basic marauders with their armor, but bloodletters still have okay an armor value when stacked with their resistances (I think). I've wanted to get into multiplayer and as much as I love Slaanesh, I think it'd be too micro-intensive for me, so I'll probably try Khorne.

Really bad decisions by the Khorne players in the late game. Simply box up and wait for the rampage ability to refresh. Slaanesh engages and you click the delete button. Why on earth did they run around trying to chase enemy units? The dive by Skarbrand was especially egregious

Had to keep N'kari active and moving though, getting those crucial rear charges to break infantry and continue the flow of healing. Really well done mechanic.
