Epic Fail Food Review at Kalua Beach Bar | Shortest Restaurant Review & Didn’t Go As Planned

In today's video, we wanted to try Kalua Beach Bar in Tavares, Florida. We have seen it multiple times and this restaurant in Tavares, Florida is in the perfect location. It’s right on the water! We really didn’t know what to expect heading into this restaurant review but upon first glance, we noticed it was all outdoor seating and they had a huge bar. However, after getting there, we didn’t really know where to go and we weren’t greeted. After we found a seat, we realized that everywhere you sit, there is a loud speaker. After we were there awhile, we had to go ask for menus. Unfortunately, we didn’t stay long. We had already ordered an appetizer which was Buffalo chicken dip but after that we decided to pay and leave. We don’t want to take away anything from this place because now we know it is a bar. So if you like bars next to water, then this restaurant in Tavares is for you. We just decided to go somewhere else but you can’t win them all. Stay tuned for a new video!

It is always awful when you are seated for awhile and no one acknowledges you or comes over. I give it about 7 minutes and then leave. I cannot believe that they do not serve iced tea. I would have left just because of that. The music was way too loud too. We went there once and it was average but I remember the flies were a real problem. We will now never go back. We love all your videos and again I want to suggest The Back Porch in Lake Alfred. It is a drive from The Villages area but it is so unique and the gift stores are fun to look in.

Great review, looks like exactly what it deserved. I hate loud music as well when you’re trying to enjoy eating and looking at the lake. The food looked atrocious. Just another over priced crap hole that won’t last 👍

Honestly I went there, once. Never returned so I sadly empathize with your experience. Not sure if you've tried it, and I think it's kind of expensive, but across the street from Dog House is Ironworks Steaks, which is the same people that own Nautilus Coffee and The Argonaut Bar on the same street.

Suggesting Great Pizza Company in Eustis. You will know you are there with an Asian lady making Italian food with water from New York City.

I have to say, it appears y'all were biting your tongues because of your wonderful nature. An immediate no go for me would have been the proximity of the port-a-john's. This appears to be a poorly managed place, seemingly using, ...tap water and poor to no signage and not even trying the food being served. I mean even an 'A' frame chalkboard for direction or specials would have helped a bit. This looks like a wanna-be Elbow Room in Ft Lauderdale. They have a live webcam on YT to compare with what I'm saying.
