Epic Fail My First Time Paddle Boarding

I watch paddle boarders go by all day, and have always thought paddle boarding looks like a glorified water version of cross country skiing. A lot of work and not much fun. Turns out I wasn't wrong! Paddle boarding on the intercoastal in palm beach, Florida was certainly not an easy task.
My neighbor Mark invited me out to give it a try so naturally I agreed thinking I would totally rock it, well, the only thing that got rocked was me! So enjoy this funny video of some of the clips Mark grabbed during our little paddle boarding adventure.

I am new to paddle boarding myself and let me tell you that this was in no way a fail. Many people, myself included, spent over an hour trying to just stand up for a few seconds 😏 I am surprised at the comments from the people who say it is unpleasant though. Even after an hour of failing and being exhausted from falling in and climbing back on the board, I had fun and bought my own board. I know several people who did the same ie even though they failed to get up, they still enjoyed it enough to buy a board. I will admit that it can be quite tiring and hurt your muscles at first but but I just see it as a fun way to get fitter.

Just try to be in deeper waters on your first try, the bottom is way harder than water

You did a good job at keeping your balance! I'm an avid skimboarder & with that sport, and surfing too, u need a good balance to ride on the board. I've never paddle boarded yet, maybe one day as it looks fun. I'd like to try to surf waves with it.

I tried paddle boarding once and it was awful, you just feel so overbalanced up there and you can't move your feet or the board tips you off. My legs were like jelly after 20 mins, it was like trying not to fall over for 20 long minutes!
