@captainmcspanky - Thanks! I was going for a Dukes of Hazard meets Hee Haw vibe. My wife couldn't stop laughing when we recorded it! If you listen closely at the end of the video, you can actually hear her laughing in the background.

@TheBladeJunker - I think the lesson from this video is to look at the PSP, Gamecube, original Xbox and PS2 library right now. What were the late releases for those systems and how many were made? Consider that 5~10 years from now, collectors will pay whatever it takes to get a copy of Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy for the PS2, and probably 100 people bought it.

@Frostbitten24 - That's the funny thing about John: he's not really obsessed with the ultra rare games like Stadium Events (NES) or Lochjaw (2600). Instead, most of his favorite games are actually really easy to find and reasonably priced, and often considered "terrible"!
@Ruddskies2 жыл бұрын
Can we have an updated version of this with JH? It will be crazy to see how much everything has gone up in 10 years
@Frostbitten2413 жыл бұрын
Haha, "If it's terrible I wanna play it." Sounds like he likes to put himself through misery at times, haha. Anyways, sweet video!
@storino0313 жыл бұрын
@MetalJesusRocks That is true. Most late game releases in a console's life has a greater chance of becoming more rare and sought after, simply because people are shifting focus to the newer console(s) and game companies are less likely to produce/manufacture a lot of units.

@pixiedemon1 - I played Chrono Trigger years ago and thought it was absolutely FANTASTIC. The time travelling story line is really neat and the combat system is a lot of fun. If you have the DS, I would pick up that version as it's excellent and only costs about $15 used.

I had 3 International Superstar Soccer 2000! I organized a championship in my home with a lot of friends and cousins. We had 3 Nintendo 64, but only one copy of the game. So I hunted down 2 copies of the game and... won the championship in the end. Then I sold the other 2 for a very cheap price. I still have my own, though.

If I had known late release games (B&B 2) were going to be so expensive in the future I would have bought them sooner. Shatterhand, got to love I a guy who punches literally everything to win. Pocky & Rocky2, I'd setttle for P&R1. Earthbound is a rare game I want only I'll pay the price it was originally sold for but I won't starve for it. ^_^ The GBA Metroids are so awesome. MGS on GBC, great game I hope to get someday. "You will die." that is what I call Robotron 2048. Great video MJR. :)

The irony with these N64 games is that they were all at my local video store complete, but as a kid I couldn't afford them, and always asked for them. Clayfighter 63 1/2, Starcraft, Superstar Soccer 2k, maaaaaan.

my dvd collection sits about 5.500-6,000 mark.. from there on if i had been a games collector and the games had been at $5 OR LESS NEW my gaming collection would consist of every pal release NES, SNES, CUBE, N64, wii/wiu game out there same with sms/sms2 through dreamcast. and would try to collect the platstation library as well.. Unsure how far i would go back into atari Commodore/tandy/amiga gaming given the issue of finding working original consoles today I would likely get into gameboy collecting if ther games were on the cheap to purchase..
@Ponimaju13 жыл бұрын
Speaking of GB and GBA, there's a Canadian Tire in town has a small rack of video games and they still have probably a dozen or so still sealed GBA games, they were either 5 or $10 each. Nothing that I was interested in or that I thought might have any value (I think there was a Shrek game and a Powerpuff girls game). I'm sure if I put them on ebay they would sell just for being SS, but not my thing. More into collecting things I will keep and play.
