In Gladiator they had trapdoors, yet in Gladiator 2 they show a naval battle. Naval battles happened BEFORE trapdoors in the Colosseum. As soon as they dug tunnels under the arena, they could no longer have naval battles.

If Denzel Washington is playing Macrinus, then having Caracalla there makes sense historically. I saw the original at the cinema, this, probably wait for the streaming release.

The long shot of the goofy jog halfway through the trailer lost me even before the anachronistic music kicked in. Really the whole takeaway of the trailer is anachronistic, suspending disbelief that the story of Gladiator wasn’t perfectly self contained 25 years ago, I look forward to watching the clip of the naval battle on KZbin whatever else!

This will be an insult to that classic filim, I am surprised Great director Ridley Scott is that dump to make this filim. The casting is also waste, Denzel Washington has no business in a classic movie with uncultured American accent. This will be a huge flop, - Mark my words the viewers will ask why Ridley why..after this filim...
