Anyone in their right mind who tried it once (trot, canter) knows the efford it takes for the rider. also, to those few people who say "the reins were too tight, or the saddle wasn't fitted right." Baloney!! Have you ever ridden a flat out gallop? You don't just drop the reins and HOPE your horse behaves! you keep the reins tight enough that if anything happened, you can pull up quickly. As for the saddles. All the saddles were fitted perfectly, they didn't slide around at all.

Too many people seem to prefer telling others what to do in the horse world rather than enjoying horses. She doesnt have a helmet? Well people have been riding horses for 1000s of years without helmets, sure they can get hurt, but we all judge risks, otherwise youd wear a bullet proof vest everywhere, and wrap yourself with bubble wrap. its not illegal to ride without one, and quire frankly for me, helmets just cause me to be distracted and cause mistakes. Her saddle moves a bit? GOOD! Saddles are supposed to move, I mean, do you tighten a backpack or your belt up as much as you can everyday? I tighten the saddle up just enough that I can mount. If you fall off its because of your balance, not the saddle not being tight enough, be an adult and accept that you are the problem sometimes, and that you have to work to get better. Heck, shes even using the least damaging bit there is (still not a fan of bits, but if you are going to use a bit, one with no leverage is the way to go). Frankly shes doing a lot of right and not much wrong, leave her alone and enjoy the video. I know Im a bit of a hypocrite telling people what to do and all, but man it just gets too much. Its for reasons like this I never post horse vids

This comment being 7 years old ain't gonna stop me, since when was history an argument for anything, there are MANY things we humans have done for thousands of years that have turned out to not be good, I don't give a shit if someone wears a helmet, but don't make ignorant people think it's not dangerous or absolutely stupid to not wear a helmet, not everyone would like to be a vegetable in the hospital. While helmets can create a false sense of security, they do in fact protect what is between the ears, though it seems to me like you got none if your only reasons are distractions and mistakes. Just be honest and say it looks ugly, that it doesn't fit the "cowboy style" or whatever. Also, there ain't gonna be any adulting or acceptance if you fall off and hit your head really badly. You probably won't be able to.
@frogbear026 ай бұрын
@@Phoenix.Sparkles Nor should it being 7 years old stop you; the comment can still be read by, and thus affect people in present times just as much as it could back then so of course its just as relevant to reply to. That being said, my opinions have shifted over those 7 years. I completely and 100% agree that helmets ought to be worn. Its silly not to, and honestly most of the excuses people give as to why they dont wear them are just that, excuses. Even my claim that its distracting was honestly kinda BS in hindsight, and getting older and growing wiser has changed my opinions for the better. Wear helmets for the same reason you wear a seatbelt everyone!

You’re so lucky you got a chance to bond with a horse! I’m so sorry you hurt your hip, your horse must’ve been stressed out to fall back on top of you. But I have a stupid question that’s sort of off topic. (Keep in mind that I’ve never really ridden a horse, but I’ve gone on trails with a group and I generally know how to control and steer a horse. But I’m still an idiot and Inexperienced when it comes to horses) when you’re riding, does the horse know to avoid something in front of it in order to not run into anything? Or does the horse leave it up to you to steer it away from things?
