I love this new song by Jinjer, always love Jinjer! I love the portrayals of Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Marie Curie and (I think) Georgia O'Keefe, although since we know Tatiana loves Frida Kahlo (as do I) because of that tattoo on her arm, I will always think of that character in this video as Georgia O'Keefe on the outside and Frida Kahlo on the inside. Every time I try to think of my favorite Jinjer song, I end up listing all of them. But some of them feel especially powerful to me because of the theme of humanity's greed, narrowmindedness, and stupidity leading to the destruction of life on earth: some, but not all of these: Ape, The Prophecy, Noah, Bad Water, Outlander, and I put Pisces in this category because even though it's clearly about a vulnerable person being hurt, when I hear it, the vulnerable person is all of humanity and the Emeralds being ripped away are life on earth which is about to be ripped away. Great reaction! Thank you, Angelika, for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! ❤️ 🖤 🤘

Hi Lux. I always enjoy your comments, although we sometimes disagree on politics. Don't despair, we may yet prevent the emeralds from being ripped away. I understand your criticisms of western motivations. America is certainly not innocent. But not all of us want to rule the world. Let Ukraine be for Ukraine, making their own decisions, free and sovereign. No control from US or Russia. That's what I want. I too want this war to end. But only with Ukraine keeping all territory from 1991 international agreement. Including Crimea. Russia can end it any time. Just leave. It's a tragedy all around. Peace.

Hi Eric, I appreciate your positive comments about things I say about Jinjer, but I'm sorry that you might not like some of my comments here about how some of their lyrics are about climate collapse and US fascism (a merger of corporate power and government power where corporate power dominates or put another way, defense of private ownership of public resources). There is a lot of evidence reviewed in major scientific journals that points overwhelmingly to it being far too late to stop the ongoing ninth (at least) mass extinction event which is happening far faster than any previous mass extinction event on earth. Our collective inability to resolve climate collapse is directly caused by US war profiteering and bullying (with its 750+ military bases outside the US and constant coup attempts and coups globally including the one in Ukraine in 2014 which stripped it of its sovereignty, installing US directed fascists) that prevents significant global cooperation which, in order to meet the scale of the problem, would have needed something like the MEER reflection project to be in full swing thirty to forty years ago. Another reaction channel reacted to Jinjer's song Bad Water and described the feeling they got from that song as "melancholy and anger". I don't know if you saw my comment there, but it was something like this: Melancholy and anger. I absolutely tear up every time I hear Bad Water. Thank you! I'm SO glad you reacted to Bad Water before you got to Ape, The Prophecy and Noah (I'd recommend omv on those three, I think you'll see why), because Bad Water is the melancholy and those three especially (but the whole Cloud Factory album) are the anger. After I got intrigued with Pisces and Jinjer's fantastic dynamic musical composition style, this theme is what made Jinjer skyrocket to be my favorite band in my fifty plus years. I was a climate activist for years, a volunteer, but at a statewide level interacting with the national level. I saw a lot of the science and still follow along. We have destroyed "mother nature" almost certainly beyond repair for a livable planet. We're in the midst of at least the ninth mass extinction event. I think life on earth is functionally extinct (expected ionizing radiation after nuclear power plants melt down) and we'll be lucky to get another one or two more years (see Blue Ocean Event: loss of arctic albedo, ongoing methane bomb and loss of aerosol masking with each of those three adding at least +1C each to the global average temperature and each amplifying 70+ self reinforcing feedback loops that are not included in IPCC projection models). I have two kids who I don't think will reach adulthood. Melancholy and anger is, for me, a severe understatement. Take care all and be kind, that's all we have left.

@@MLuxemburg I'm an environmentalist and climate activist myself, although I'm not as active as I was formerly. I was a nonviolence trained peace monitor at antinuke demonstrations going back to the '70s. I'm no stranger to the concepts of industrialization causing environmental collapse. There's plenty of disheartening evidence, but I cannot afford to be fatalistic. Then I'd have to join Elon in his quest to bootstrap humanity off the planet. I've read a lot of science fiction, but I'm not ready to give up on Mother Earth yet. It may look bleak, but I have a young daughter who deserves to inherit a planet where she can have children who might have a decent standard of living. I'm intrigued by your posts. We have different views on Ukraine. But you're clearly a huge Jinjer fan with sympathy for Ukraine. I respect that. Are you in favor of a free and sovereign Ukraine? With borders back to those agreed in 1991? No Russian rule? No US either? That's what I'm for. Inn for everyone's right to determine their own path, and not be subject too tyrannical rule. Surely you're not pro-Putin. America may have problems, but Putin is a pure dictator. A war criminal. A fascist. I fear the US would be no better under Trump. But we're not there yet, and I'm fighting to prevent it. There are certainly hidden agendas, and it's our work to defeat the worst of them. But we have to start by defending freedom. Maybe that doesn't always mean democracy, though I'd argue it usually does. It takes a concerted effort (and lots of money) to defend freedom. I'm all for a world where we don't need superpowers to stand up against tyranny. I'd be interested to hear your ideas about how we might achieve that. Unless it's too late to save the planet, in which case we'd better all get behind Elon, I guess. I'm not at that place.

Jinjer instrumental is always IMPECCABLE, it is impossible not to contemplate such talent that is complemented by Tatiana Shmayluk's unique and imposing voice. I liked the drive and the groovier line of the bass and guitars - Jinjer is awesome, I love these jazz fusion and funk influences that they carry. Please Angelika, react to Marilyn Manson’s new song.
