I love the anchor. I may be doing the same soon because my 5 pounder, which is a real anchor that grabs the bottom, is just too light when the wind is really whipping. Great video, Matt. The Crappie were real nice. I still haven't caught one. I'll have to look for that spot sometime, I'm not afraid of potholes...I've lived in Michigan my entire life 😂

2:35 bowfin! Never caught one but they are also called a “Grendel” around here. Bowfin is native but sometimes confused with “snakeheads” which are invasive in Florida

I have to figure out those gulp minnows. I just haven’t caught with them..

The one inch variety you need a 1/32 or 1/64 jig head so it floats naturally to the bottom. Fish hit it as it sinks, thinking it's a dead minnow. The larger 2.5 inches, you can use a bigger jighead. Fish hit it for me on slow retrieves.

Yup, spooled with 40-pound braid in case it dives deep and I have to drag up weeds with it.
